  1. This is hilarious. Let’s quit hiding behind fake names and put real names out there and see just how brave everyone is too talk #### about kids then. I’d say it will be very few if any. To be honest if I knew who your son was and if he was any good at wrestling I just might have took him out of town to a tournament with Nashville Catholic when they were all young.

  2. Okay @littlejohnny, it is a free country, and you can say what you want. But, as a McCallie fan, I think we can do better. We are all thrilled we won. That part is good. The part about the Baylor kids--I did not like that part-- there but for the grace of God go I. This could easily be any kid at any school. And before any of you say, not my kid--fine, your kid is different. But on average, no. Finally, a couple things about winning. When you do it, it pisses people off. So, you don't have to try to piss people off more--WHICH you have already done. So, when you have already beaten people + talked $h!t to piss them off more, they have even more motivation--and it gives them more satisfaction when they beat you. Now, if you were on the field/mat and could defend your comments, that would be fine. But you are not. So, try not to give these guys any additional motivation, please. Learning how to win hard--it may be harder to keep winning. Potter and the football team have figured it out. They quietly take care of business. We have had some success. If our guys work hard, we may have some more. How we win is just as important and affects how much we win in the long run and who these kids become.

  4. This is not the first incident to ever take place in a dormitory nor will it be the last. Any time that youth are living away from their parents in a dorm things happen and you just hope that those immature decisions do not follow them forever. We have all made poor decisions when we were teenagers.

  5. I played against these guys as well. We scrimmaged them before one our state tournament appearances at tech. They were the real deal as well.

  8. Cause the parent isn’t the Coach. If you wanna coach get a job as a coach and do it! Otherwise stay out of the way!

  9. We must of been at the same homecoming game this year coach because I saw him against Greeneville too. I felt the same way about him. Good Speed and Hands being more like a Kelce type of TE than a Witten type that could block great also. SE just didn’t have time to let the QB get it to him against the better teams like Greeneville, Betsy, or the Mavs in the first round. I think he will do great for Betsy and sure wouldn’t have turned him down if he wanted to drive a little farther west and come to Greeneville

  13. Just curious abt this. So, in the 113 lb bracket, are you calling Axel the 6 seed and Hare the 1 seed?? If so, yes Axel exceeded his seed to place differential by 3 and if Hare was "your 1 seed", he receives a -3. This would be true if brackets were seeded properly, instead of placed. However, it doesnt make seed to place true when they're not. If your being realistic about the brackets, both kids should probably recieve a ZERO in expected outcomes bc neither placed higher or lower than most reasonably expected when brackets were revealed. Same with Big Gentle and I'm sure there are probably others as well, he's NOT the 2 seed even if he's "placed" in the traditional 2 seed slot of a non- seeded tournament, therefore he shouldn't merit a +1. Make sense?

  16. Wolves 2022 I agree with you, I lost and you won when I made a completely inappropriate remark. I know better and I made a mistake. You disrupted my mental equilibrium and poise.I have no excuse for the mistake I made. I own it. My rear end took over and that is not desirable. Take credit for what you did.It is not my first mistake and probably won't be my last. With a damaged left shoulder (still functioning OK) I am not close to any degree of black belt. I never have been and never will be. I correspond occasionally with Abdul (Kareem ) because we are friends. I spent a good amount of time with him when he was here at ETSU for civility week several years ago. You brought up Bruce Lee and I think Abdul trained with him quite a lot. As you said about me (inaccurately) I certainly never kicked the XXXX out of Bruce Lee. He could do the reverse to me with the pinky finger on his left hand. I did have 56 stitches in my face my senior year in high school. It was a rough conference I played in. Some people thought I qualified for the Adams family. I could't get out of the way of some of those fists. I was ugly and I had to sneak up on a girl to get an occasional date. I do have a friend that is constantly with me. At this time in my life it is my obsession to practice with my friend. I take him to the "club" on average 6 days a week. As a friend should be, my friend is a very reliable companion. My friend is always with me and has never let me down. I practice with my friend almost every day. This is not an accomplishment or a threat-just fact. You should not try and twist my words. On his best day Bruce Lee would be no match for my friend. I told you I was very fortunate to have been financially secure my entire professional career. Just lucky and it had nothing to do with me per say. It would have been impossible for me to have moved around the way I did on a teacher/coach salary. It would be impossible for me to live my lifestyle the way I enjoy now on a teacher/coach salary. I grew up with great parents taking care of me with very meager means. I have always been glad that I grew up this way as many people have. You gave me a ball and I entertained myself with my friends. There is a lot of politics in public school education. A public school coach is not exempt from this. I think it is a very risky job. I was not brought up around here so in my opinion I was looked on as an outsider. I certainly never felt that I enjoyed some of the opportunities that a local product enjoyed. I was able to overcome this and do it my way because I held a Royal Flush. I will keep this part short. My wife grew up in Bronxville,N.Y. It is a small village about a half hour commute by train to Manhattan. The present commissioner of the NFL lives very close to where my wife grew up. Do a little research and see what you find out. I say this because in my case the information that your father gave you happens to be completely incorrect. I wish my accountant thought the way you do. Unfortunately they don't look at it the way you do because they have financial records. I do pay a tremendous amount in taxes which benefits this area. That is a good thing. If I understand it correctly Mr. Noonesfool was a high school principal in Greenville. In my opinion there is not a job that is more important or challenging. I would like to convey my deepest respect to Mr. Noonesfool. My dad was a principal of a jr. high in FL. for almost 40 years. He definately would not have approved of some of the comments I have made on this medium. He would have taken me behind the woodshed. What Mr Noonesfool achieved is far more significant than most of us do. Certainly more than I accomplished. Much respect and many congratulations for your contributions to many people. I know Mr. Noonesfool will agree-it is critical that we respect each other. We have so much to be thankful for in this country. I know this platform is not intended to be used the way I just did. It will soon get back to what it is so hold your water. No one is forced to read or respond to anything on CoachT. You can certainly just skip over this. Thank you for your understanding. It is my intention to wish each and everyone of you the very best in this year and all the years to come. I hope that you are happy and healthy. I also hope that you might just remember me in a positive way and wish me well because it is always nice to receive well wishes. I choose to close with this thought- MY CRITICS CAN KISS MY ####!

  19. The defense gave up 35 points a game if that's moving in the right direction but I won't be a smart azz about it because they were young. If they lose someone on staff there I'm pretty sure school won't be shut down a day to grieve over it. Coach Oz would be happy for anyone moving up the ladder in their career and knows who to call next if that were to happen. Any coach that has been at the level he has been knows to always be ready when they have to make that call.

  20. The minute one school in Middle TN tries to build a real boarding school model at least one other would have to follow suit. It would tip the balance of power too greatly with only one - especially at the AAA enrollment. Lipscomb is trying the IMG thing with their Endeavor program but without access to more dorms it can't be as large. Webb BB is only large enough to sustain dominant smaller sports programs. And frankly there are a lot of parents in Middle TN who want their kids to play and not be pushed to the bench by someone transferring in. As long as they are still calling some shots, they're happy to be the best in Middle TN. Where have you gone Deuce Knight?

  21. I am showing my age in this thread. Those Bolton teams in the late 70 and the 80s were really good. I remember them beating a good Alcoa team in 1979 by 40. Some of those Alcoa guys told me they never seen anything like Bolton.
