Gilbert needs to have a coming out party next week. If they get him going, it'll be fun to watch.

Gilbert's going to have a "going out" party next week....He will not get out of first gear.

I am not buying that Milan is a better team this year....NO WAY!

You do not lose a QB like Coleman and lose the other Coleman for most of the year and tell me that bunch is better.

I am selling it, no way you can make me believe they are "better"

#2 Good to see you!

["Antwan"]Alcoa by at least 21.

stay out of it you whiner. smith county. what a joke. :thumb:

How's that dude? SC made it to the quarters with the worst team in 10 years.

I think we would have given your team more trouble than YAI. You have no chance to beat Alcoa.

NEITHER DOES YOUR TEAM CAUSE THEIR AT HOME!!!! :thumb:

Yep...I guess anyone that says...their instead of they're is pretty stupid... :thumb:

Wow all this talk about open zone. The last time I checked there's nothing wrong with that in our county. Our administrators in this county don't want to limit our kids on where they can go to school. That's why the private schools have grown so much in this state in the last 20 years. Parents want their kids to get a good education. Alcoa offers that and they have an awesome football tradition.

As for this game, Milan is in deep trouble if they had problems with York in the first half. Alcoa's going to pound the rock on the Bulldogs and there's nothing they can do about it. This game will be close for a half and then Alcoa will put it away in the second. I expect the F5 to touchdown about 4-6 times on friday. Milan will be fortunate to put up more than 14 points. Of course this is just my opinion and we will have to wait until friday to find out. GO TORNADOES !!

Come on.... R U serious! It was 43-15. Does it look like they had any trouble with YORK. I mean you guys beat Elizabethton by less than we beat York. Must mean ya'll are in big trouble!! :thumb:

Lets be honest about it. Everybody saw the game last year. Neither team turns the ball over alot. Both teams love to pound the rock. It will not be a high scoring game. I'm not saying milan will win and I'm not saying Alcoa will win. But didn't Toney play running back last year. Didn't Avery have 22 tackles last year. Mostly the same cast of characters back this year.

Anybody who thinks this game is going to be a blow out either way is an idiot!

Besides you don't wanna get me all mad like you got orangeworker do you? That was pretty funny late in the week. I may try and throw a couple out later in the week. Looking forward to playing you guys again. I know you're a heavy favorite but I'm proud of my Dawgs for making it back again. We'll work hard this week and give it all we have. That F5 is gonna unwind sometime - might be on Friday :thumb:

Go ahead and keepem coming - I promise you won't make me mad.

You just contradicted yourself..Milan was thrown on Friday night. York is probably 5x a better passing team than Alcoa, Milan will welcome the "pound the rock" as that is what they will be dishing out as well. What are the updates on Z Denton and C Coleman? My prediction stands as it did in week 10. Milan 24 v. Alcoa 21. GO DAWGS!! Williamson and Gilbert will give those 2 Mr. Football nominations for that gold ball next week guaranteed.

Milan may have done the same...........but Alcoa pulled the starters to save them for the championship game. The 3's with a freshman FB, and RB scored the last TD. The third team defense gave up the only score for Betsy late in the fourth qtr............That game could have been 48-0 easy. A lot tougher challenge the week! :thumb:

Antwan, obviously they have great language teachers in carthage. Too bad that ya'll are not as good at teaching football. Now that you guys are sitting at home on Friday nights you should have lots more time to crack open a grammar book.

By the way, my team played tonight. And they will be playing next week as well. Hope your studying goes well next Friday. I'll be thinking about you from Cookeville....NOT!!!! :thumb:

In each of the last 6 weeks the Alcoa Tornadoes have played:

McMinn Central

CAK

Tyner

CAK

Loudon

Elizabethton

In that same period of time Milan played Crockett County & York Institute. The Bulldogs also beat Stewart County & Oakhaven but neither of those two teams could have played within 50 of any team I listed above. The Bulldogs also played Camden & Westview but in reality Westview was nothing more than an average football team this year and by the time Milan played Camden they were a team that had been seriously wounded due to injuries (i.e. Gaskin).

Milan is a great football team. You do not run the table at 14-0 and get to this point without being a great football team. With that said however I just believe that Alcoa is simply a better football team. The Tornadoes road to this matchup has been significantly tougher than Milan's has been and it could show up in this one.

In the 1st half of tonight's game I thought that York really exploited Milan in a couple of ways. The fact of the matter is that the Dragons moved the ball with success against Milan's defense. The only thing that hurt York in the end was their lack of overall playmakers and physical strength up front. Alcoa has a lot of physical strength up front. ASK MARYVILLE!!!! Alcoa also is about 1,000,000 times more athletic than York. Those plays that York was converting with success against the Bulldogs defense tonight will be TOUCHDOWNS for Alcoa.

Before the playoffs I predicted a 28-14 game with Alcoa winning. I am changing that prediction right now (even though I can't for Gerry Bertier's contest). I like Alcoa to beat Milan next week by a score of 35-14. I think it will be a 35-0 or 35-7 game when the Tornadoes starters exit the contest in the second half of this one. Milan is going to get what they think they want in this one but in reality it is going to be anything but..........:lol::lol:

Alcoa is the favorite here. But Milan is more than capable of beating them. IMO last years team was more talented but this one is playing better. Only 11 TOs all year. Personally, and several I have talked to agree, I would take Ryan over Coleman. Ryan takes very good care of the ball, only 5 picks compared to 22 passing TDs. He hasn't fumbled all year either. Not the 235 lb. beast that Coleman was for us but is the 2nd fastest player on the team. Very fortunate to have had both.

Tonight was the first time since week 0 we had seen the pass. We were definitely a little suspect. Really gonna need CC back next week, obviously. However, we have performed very well against the run this year. I would put Avery, Moo, Bledsoe, and Nance against any linebacking core in the state. As long as our ends can match up with Robinson and Tyson(which might be a problem) and our DBs don't blow anything, Alcoa will have trouble moving the ball.

The O line will need to get some push and open some holes for Gilbert and the rest of the backs. We have been very successfull passing the ball this year, but it won't happen if we can't force Alcoa to come out of the 2 deep safety. We have massacred teams in the special teams department all year. Looking forward to it.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
