I am always asked by fans in front of our press box for my prediction. Being raised on the Paul Bear Bryant TV Show my answer is always the same: "I hope we just show up and don't embarrass our mamas and our papas..."

"Maryville is a great program, but it's just people putting on their pants like we do each and every day," Riverdale coach Ron Aydelott said. "It's not like you are going to some sort of utopia or something. The field is small, the playing surface is probably not as good as ours.

 

Evidently our facilities are not adequate to some. Hopefully our level of play will be.

What an AWESOME job you have done this week Mr. Kreager , you have made this week a lot more fun , and Informative for both the Riverdale and Maryville fans this week . I for one want to thank you , and I hope you feel very welcome on your visit to Maryville .

 

The same thing needs to be said for the Riverdale fans , I want to thank them for the classy dialogue we have had this week , It's always obvious when we're dealing with a team similar to us , in that they have great Tradition , and have been there , and done that . I'm very Happy to get a chance to play a team with such a great History as Riverdale has had , and I look forward to having a great Rivalry through the coming years . It's easy to see that the other schools in Riverdale's district just don't match up in the Areas of Tradition , History , Respect for the game , and the overall Class of the team , coaches , and fans . Good luck to all involved With Riverdale Football , including the Players , Coaches and the Fans . Hope all have a safe trip to Maryville and enjoy your visit to our Little Town ... well maybe not too much enjoyment ... lol

Thanks Pepvol! You Maryville folks are awfully classy as well! We have the utmost respect your great program and the level your coaches, players and fans strive to keep it at! That is very amazing! Something I know you guys do not take for granted! May the game tonight be an instant classic, injury free for both these fine teams! Wish I could come down but will have to listen by way of the internet! Have all 3 of my children home from college! As always you Maryville folks have my best wishes and respect! One thing i'm glad for the Warriors this year they found their heart! GO WARRIORS!!!! (Back at you Pepvol!!) p.s. I hope this game between the Rebels and Warriors continues for a long time to come! My thinking besides a great rivalry is that you play the Rebels you will know how good or how bad you really are! The Maryville program is what all teams would want to strive to be like!

I'd like to take this opportunity to assure coach aydelott that the field is regulation size it just seems small because the Rebels get up and down it so fast.However I'll side with him that Riverdales playing surface is in better condition.

I just drove by the stadium, and the field looked pretty good. It is greener than it was 2 years ago. I'm not a turf man, so what do I know.

I've never seen a team that looks less excited to be in a state semifinal game than riverdale did in warm ups. Coaches, players, everybody on the field.

 

Ill assume this in normal.
