why doesnt maryville play out of state games?

i've been wondering this for awhile,why doesnt maryville play any powerhouse schools from out of state? i'd personally like to see them play some schools from georgia,florida,and alabama to see how they stack up against them. most of the elite teams in the country play teams from out of state, so why not maryville? what gives? i'm also puzzled as to why alcoa doesnt do this.

First time on here,but keep hearing how the privates are so superior to,say Maryville and Alcoa,and why Maryville should play out of state teams and privates.Maryville used to regularly mop up on Middlesboro Ky and -check this-- Maryville has played Brentwood Academy in the finals at state ,and to my knowledge , has never lost to Brentwood ..Check this out. It's funny, but these boards seem to be monopolized by a very few people who sound off about the same old stuff, and as for Stars and Bars--the MHS I went to would never have turned you loose on the public. Of course, I know that is not really you--is it? I,m a transplanted Blount County boy who will always be a Blount County. Excuse me for butting in to your posts . By the way, I watched MHS and Farragut track meet on TV in Carolina last night. Whew--ever watch a tennis match? Backj and forth.

No one cares so much about who won the games or who would win ..we care about good football. The fact of the matter is there are alot of teams in Tennessee who it they played each other would be exciting for our state and sport ..it's not always possible and I do think the top public and private schools would play toe to toe but the fact of the matter is they don't play and none of us have any control over that .. I truly believe Governors91 was meaning no harm when he wrote this post.

 

 

I will say this though and this is the truth. There are a lot of people who root for some of the other teams Maryville has beaten over the years that would love to see Maryville play a strong out of state team. Those fans would love to see Maryville get destroyed by Byrnes,Hoover,STA, De La Salle or some other National Powerhouse.
