I gotta go with my tigers 36-7. We are just as good this year as we were last year! Haven't. Saw a more determined team seeking to get that monkey off their back. Right now my tigers are playing with no mercy and I'm quite sure this will b a black and gold night full of fans!!

Trying to say that playing at Da Haven is just like playing any other team is laughable. 99.9% of schools have good sportsmanship. Ever been to a college game? No bands play when the other team has the ball. Da Haven is as far from classy as it gets. If you choose to travel there, don't expect normal hospitality

smh you my friend are very funny.. The haven has an extremely good band. An Wat does the band playing have to do with the players performing on the field. If anything they should be just as hype or entergized as the haven

I bet you also thought that Wilson Central would dominate MJ, as well as Dickson County running over us ; and then thought that MJ doesn't stand a chance vs Brentwood with their great offensive line and defense.

Bears are looking forward to going to DaHaven. No pressure on us; nobody thinks we can win but the Bear faithful. We love it ! Time to shock the world !

Go Bears !

No I picked MJ to win all those games, I believe Mount Juliet has a phenomenal team but I also do not have my head stuck in a hole. Whitehaven is an extremely talented team on both sides of the ball. To beat Whitehaven a team has to do what only Maryville can do in 6A football, OUT COACH them and sorry Perry isn't going to do that A.K.A. last year. I love my bears and I want them to do well but that does not mean getting on here spouting stupidity.

MJ has a very "explosive" looking offense with the sweeps to multiple backs and running #2 in between the tackles. The QB looks like he has a cannon and #3 looks good on the outside. Nice Looking ATH.

I still don't see how Dickson Co. and Brentwood Linemen were getting BLOWN off the Ball and why their LBs couldn't Scrape well enough to stop those big gains to just 2-3 yard gains?!?!? I have full faith and confidence that A. Collins and the other LBs for Whitehaven will be BLOWING those sweeps up! BTW MJ hasn't seen anything like Big Dre Smith at DT not to mention Gerald Bates...

Defensively, MJ is Suspect and is good as Toast LOL!

Yall have NO ONE that can check any of our Wide Outs. If the DBs play off ten yards, it will be a Problem... If the DBs want to bump and run (I know yall won't try that  ) yall got Real Problems, Real FAST! And if Those safeties want to keep their eyes in our backfield instead of on their Keys we'll be up by 4 TDs before yall can say Derek Dooley Sux B)

If Whitehaven plays their A-game and MJ does the same... Whitehaven Wins, No disrespect, we're just :hungry:

Hard to 'Respect Da Haven' when their band plays the entire time the opposing offense has the ball. As Senator would say, #classy

Just because U don't like doesn 't mean it's a problem.

Wonder if Whitehaven's team captains will shake hands during coin toss with MJ team captains

Very classey show of sportsmanship >example

Do not expect Whitehaven players to give any respect or show any sportsmanship. Unless team is different from last year. Against Maryville in the championship game, Whitehaven's team captains wouldnt shake hands during or after coin toss

I'd say that made them Murvil boys feel even better when they were holdin' up that big ol gold ball in front of those boys who wouldn't shake their hand ;)

    • I am interested in seeing how much they progress in year two under Fitz myself. I do believe they will improve but how much will be the question.
    • Pirates can make a run at the dance for sure.
    • I've always been a football fan first and then if you have a band that's awesome. No question that DB has one of the best bands in the country and the whole region should attend at least one DB game just to see their band. I don't know if Nick Saban could come to Kingsport and build a football program that could match the Dobyns Bennett band's success. That said,as mentioned before, a couple of things would have to change in order for the Tribe to just win a state championship on the field.Besides a program that starts from the peewee teams and goes all the way to J Fred with all coaches and weight training { in time }on the same page. Sometimes it also takes a little luck like the 1998 Vols .There are a lot of great athletes at a lot of big schools around the state and just because you want something doesn't mean your going to build a program like Alcoa has. Yes,start at the bottom and have guys that are quality coaches teaching at every level is 100% the first step. Parents can make it a lot easier by getting their young athletes into an early start with conditioning and weights as well when they are old enough to lift.If your son is a man in the weight room before he gets to DB , then it won't take a "Dobbs" coach to make him competitive against other schools athletes when it comes to strength.
