It's Time to Separate the Public and Private Schools

The best example I have is in volleyball. In the Class A state championship you had South Greene with less than 500 students playing Goodpasture who uses the multiplier. Goodpasture had kids from 7 different counties on their roster. Their is no way any true public school can compete with that.

False, it is actually three counties. Davidson, Sumner and Robertson. Madison is in the upper Northwest corner of Davidson County. You can be in Sumner County in 5 minutes. Robertson in probably 8.

 

Seven counties sounds really good but unfortunately completely false.

3 or 7 doesn't really matter my friend, either way it's not a level playing field when privates can go to any county and get players and when public has to play with who lives in there own county!

It's easy to just say play the game when your from Alcoa or have a son that plays for Alcoa but when your from a small county like me(LEWIS CO.) it's a lot different my friend. Lewis Co only get players from Hohenwald,TN. we don't get to go to surrounding counties and get the best of the best so thats where the privates have a very large advantage on small towns like mine.(I'M NOT CRYING ABOUT IT OR WHATEVER ANYBODY WANTS TO SAY, I'M JUST STATING FACTS)

However, how good would it have felt had you guys won the CPA game? Knowing you beat the best, rather than someone either even or less even than you?
