tnhoosier
York's girls had another rough 4th quarter and dropped one to Cannon, 41-55.

bob77
And a PG that should be in this discussion... He wasn't praising Pickett as much as he was taking a shot at Jackson Co. Pickett Co is a great team, don't get me wrong, but Jim Brown's 7 championships over the past 15 years speak for themselves. We will see how the rest of the season plays out. Good luck to all the 8AA teams.

Good luck to all the 8AA teams. They certainly do. But...if coaching is the reason the U will never beat JC as stated by one on here...then how can PC beat JC that bad? Just wondering. It's not a shot at JC...it's a response to an idiotic post. Edited December 17, 2015 by Antwan

Coaching IS by in large the reason why Upperman has not been able to beat Jackson County except on a rare occasion. I'm not trying to imply Uppermans coach is bad because she's definitely not but for whatever reason she just can't beat Coach Brown. You can say what you want just look back on the games between these two coaches since 1998 and get back to me. As for why PC beat us they were the best team that night and they are well coached. No difference when Clarkrange or LA beats us or we beat them. While we are on the subject has Smith County ever beaten Jackson County? If so it was in the last millenium and that's way too far back for me to remember 😎👠Edited December 17, 2015 by UCSportsFan
Antwan
They haven't played in 10 years. I don't think SC/JC history was in this discussion. I remember when JC was lucky to win 5 games. Back on point...how long has PC's coach been there? What is his record against JC?
tnhoosier
Talent has made Brown and Rogers great coaches. Not saying either is not a great coach, but talent makes bad coaches good, good coaches great and great coaches legendary. Think it's safe to say they both have some great talent over the past couple decades. You could've put Bobo the chimp on either ones bench and the monkey would've won a heck of a lot of games. No disrespect too either but the truth is the truth.

tnhoosier
I would argue both have benefited from a great elementary/middle school talent pool. Most (90%) of the developing is already done by the time a kid is a freshman. How many have either had that were just mediocre as freshman that turned into all area or all state players after their sophomore years?. Their great players were for the most part great players in elementary and middle school. I am NOT saying either is not good, Just saying talent makes coaching much easier.
