I knew you guys would be on here getting all unnerved and your underwear uncomfortable. How have you guys been its been a minute. Now first of all you cant believe everything you read and especially when it comes from a disgruntled employee. No championships have been vacated and for what reason. Teli White has nothing to do with reporting enrollment numbers. He is a football coach by the way he did not run from this situation he was let go by this principal. that is why he is at Melrose. This principal has a vendetta so just sit back relax and let things play out. They have not reportedly vacated the ship but I see some people would hope that would happen.

These folks HATED seeing yall Dominate LOL

Childress sounds like a guy I wouldn't believe for anything. That's disgusting. He actually is hinting at ways to defend this garbage. Idiot!

Hold up a minute. How on earth did you read that article and come away thinking that Childress is lying? What that article states is that Mackin's allegation concerning enrollment numbers reported to the TSSAA by Trezevant is totally false and without merit. Childress even goes so far as to give you the standard operating procedure for reporting numbers and the source of the reporting. Furthermore, he describes how falsifying numbers reduces the amount of money a school receives. He even goes so far to say that if the numbers that Makin alleges were to be actually used that Trezeveant would have still been in 2A.

It does Childress no good to lie. For what? Everything he states can be verified. It's documented. What does he or the TSSAA gain from lying? That makes no sense. Everything Childress stated can be backed up with data and confirmed with the actual numbers. Mackin's can't.

You read that and came away with Childress being a liar?

smh.

According to article, the Shelby county school board had a "private executive meeting " to discuss the matter. This is illegal under the state Sunshine Law - ALL meeting of any governing body are declared and open to the public at ALL times. I guess Shelby county continues to follow their own rules.

That is not 100% accurate atlas. The school board or other governing bodies can meet with attorneys and it can be close door. That would s the only exception. I don't have a dog in this fight. I just think it might be possible that in this meeting that very well might have been the case.

You are quite wrong..."executive" meetings with legal counsel are excluded from the sunshine law. I suspect that the former Principal has initiated legal action against the SCSB, in which case that was the right course of action. It's also a smart move to follow up with an "open door" meeting in order appease the public's (and media's) interest, which they have.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
