He kicked a 39 yarder to beat us and yes he did everything but sell popcorn against us! West Point tho...that’s more than any accomplishment you can ever get in football...young man from here is at WP! Mr. Football kicker of the year is a total sham.  The kicker with the longest field goal in the state this season (54 yards), a kicker who has better stats than another finalist from his home county is not among the finalists.  That kicker was also a position player and was second on his team in tackles from his linebacker position. In limited duty, he also rushed for almost 300 yards.  All the other candidates specialize in kicking only.  This kid is a position player and has been accepted and offered a full ride to The United States Military Academy.  The award is supposed to be about what you did during the 2017 football season, NOT how well you did in a few summer camps.   

Just like the sports writers who vote in the AP poll, the Mr. Football voting sports writers don't know jack.

The titans couldn't afford to give out lineman awards this year.Much rather  see a lineman get rewarded over a kicker.

You can say the kicker of the year is rigged all you want but if your implying that the reason a kid from Bledsoe County is up for the Mr. Football award is strictly political then your far from right.

The argument that many have with the finalists for the kicker award for Mr. Football have absolutely nothing to do with the kicker you are referring  to.  Like Big Ed said, you should  read and understand before you post.
