Happy Friday everyone. I hope everyone has a great afternoon. I am sitting here getting ready to meet Roy and some other guy. They have talked me into going to see Greenback play. I really on like watching the Pirates but I will be a good sport and go with them this time.

Roy gonna take you on a special kind of excursion. You gonna think y’all doing a remake of that Deliverance movie. Hope they ain’t got you playing that Ned Beatty role

Just finished talking with coach a few minutes ago, and I'm pretty sure i've never seen him more prepared. I'd expect the young guys for Squatch to see plenty of 2nd half action.

This Squatch team reminds me a lot of America: A superpower.

Squatch 31

bad guys 14

He was the best player on that team and I never have downplayed what he meant to that team, but I’m not gonna let someone say he was the only reason they were any good that year.

And I’m not going to allow anyone to downplay how important he was for that team his Senior year!

As I stated, it wasn’t just him out there! Those big men up front made the holes to run through and Martin made the passes he caught! I could sit here and name them all from Hargis to Brock’s! It takes a TEAM to win! His leadership and ability to make something out of nothing was what made him special!

Everyone on here knows who I am and knows I meant no disrespect to his teammates! I am biased on the subject though..

Back to Saturday nights game, SP gets the win over Squatchville!

That team goes 5-5 without Muir in 2008.

Fantasy football draft, College football, high school football...man today is a good day.

I am anxious to see the Pirates in action tonight. Sequatchie will Be well prepared. I think we have enough left to get it done by a touchdown. My biggest concern isn't offense but defense tonight. We shall see. It's good to have football back.

You coached him? You should be commended. He was a force in football for Marion County. I’m sure some of what you taught him on the diamond translated to the football field.

I figured you would have known that since you know who I am lol. I coached at Marion county for 8 years

    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
