How many playoff games will be cancelled because of Covid?

I am wondering if a lucky team kept getting forfeits and made it to the 'ship without playing a playoff game. That would be funny.

Postpone the championship game as long as needed.  Georgia and Texas both are playing state championship AFTER Christmas.  Oh no, what about basketball?  Don't think they are worried unless basketball cancels AGAIN.

Or one of the heavily favorites gets hit and has to forfeit to a team they should beat.

If that happens and a team suck as Oakland Or Greeneville Or Alcoa Or etc has to forfeit that would be a breath of fresh air

Well add 1 to the list. Greeneville is getting a pass on round 1 due to Covid win.

Due to COVID-19 contact tracing, the Lenoir City Football team will have to cancel their Friday night playoff game against Knox West.

Although, this does bode the question:  Why does a 2-7 team qualify for the playoffs in the first place?  Hopefully TSSAA gets equal # of teams in regions this time around.

So far two teams have forfeited due to contact tracing. Both teams were scheduled to travel and both would have lost by sizable margins.

A freshman on Farragut’s  girl’s soccer team was in the ICU and on a vent  because of Covid complications. I’m not arguing about what precautions are appropriate and which are going too far because it’s such a multi faceted subject with so many factors to consider and I agree that kids are much less likely to face substantial complications. But they can be adversely affected and they can and  sometimes do get very sick.
