Congrats to Chris on coming home. We graduated the same year and played against each other. He was as good as they come back then but always a class act after the game. I haven't talked to him in years and I think the last time was at a Marion basketball game I was covering. He was still as friendly as ever then.

Now....if someone down in Pirate land doesn't create a hype video to start the season featuring Chris and having Back in Black playing in the background us old 80s guys are going to be sorely disappointed.

Yep needs to be a hype video, I agree!  Hope to see you at one or some of our games.

I am just hoping that Chilly man lets us use 12 men on the field.  However, if we only need 2 downs to get a 1st down, we should be pretty good!

Yep needs to be a hype video, I agree!  Hope to see you at one or some of our games.

Daggummit rlh we dun got in trouble for cheatin now you wanna use 12 boys? My brother ain't gonna like this mess when he sees it.

Yes that would be great if someone can do that. I'm old school and sure don't know how to.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
