Haywood Tomcats

Looks like the Region 7 teams have the following scrimmages planned for this week:

7/29  Fayette Ware at South Gibson
7/30  Crockett Co. at Peabody
7/30  Haywood at Whitehaven
7/30  Milan at Westview
7/30  Huntingdon at North Side
7/30  Gleason and South Fulton at Obion Central

Rodney Saulsberry has been the head coach at Whitehaven since 2004.  Gene Robinson, who was the head coach at Fairley from 2017-2019, is now the head coach at Germantown.

Ahh ok I knew it was one of them. He may have coached and played there before fairley

I was really happy to see the Haywood Covington series get renewed. Those have always been some great games between 2 storied programs. I am not sure about the history on why it got cancelled, but none the less, I am glad that it is back.

My son just told me that the coach Smith said no spectators at the scrimmage Friday

The Milan vs Westview scrimmage will be at Milan not Westview. Start time will depend on the temperature.

I am assuming this is a Whitehaven call??  With Haywood being the visitor it would be tough for them to say no spectators.

Im assuming. I’m hearing Shelby County schools are going back to wearing masks, regardless of vaccination. Seems odd to me

Thanks for the correction.  I was just going by what was posted on the Tennessee Football Coaches Association website.
