Trenton v Huntingdon

I think this game comes down to whether Huntingdon can consistently run the ball and control the clock against the Trenton defense. They may pass some but that’s not what they do. If they can run they have a chance but if not Trenton can run and pass and will score some points even against Huntingdon good defense.

If Huntingdon moves the ball like they did against Westview and limits the penalties and TO’s they will beat Trenton. I think this one goes to the wire. I don’t think Huntingdon will be able to run at will on Peabody and Peabody’s ability to throw the football will be the difference. I got Peabody 28-21.

Peabody can do both that’s why y’all are back to back to back champs. Well rounded in all phases of the game. If Huntingdon has to pass the ball much it will cost them the game. Their freshman QB just doesn’t have the experience yet just my two cents. He is a good player just a little green at this level.

I think your post will be the difference. They are not a good passing team and Peabody can do both.

Maybe but the thing is that you won’t know when we are going to pass but you were expecting the pass from westview big difference

If Trenton's passing game is close to Westview's then wer're in trouble. Simpson has such a strong arm and quick release that we just couldn't hang. Trenton is obviously very talented but may be a little complacent.  They haven't played very well in the 2nd half of their big games.

If this game is close it could come down to the kickers and Trenton has a solid one. I watched Huntingdon warm up and I swear there were at least 5 different kids practicing PATs, and most of them looked like linemen. I will say that they didn't miss any during the game but they weren't pretty to say the least. I couldn't believe any of them split the uprights.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
