Yep think it's his to lose. The others look pretty good also. Each has his plusses and minuses, though. Learning for the future.

And it looks like Tarwater has found a home as QB at Karns, glad for him.

We looked pretty good but also know  Murvil was going  all out. IT was just a scrimmage.lol

Yes nothing like a real game. But way better than past scrimmages vs them.I love our new staff and think the program as a whole  will only get better.

Here is my take on the scrimmage:

-Maryville is good, but this is not a great Maryville team

-OR is very talented

-OR has the best skill players in the area in any classification

-OR is average at best in the OL and DL

-The OR play at QB is just OK

-The more #22 touches the ball, the better the OR offense will be

-Far too many penalties for OR in the final scrimmage

-OR will finish the regular season no worse than 8-2 and I predict 9-1

-I was disappointed in the number of varsity players for a school the size of OR (I counted 60)

-I was pleased with the crowd on both sides for a scrimmage

-RWR!

"Best" skilled players based on what criteria?

Best individual?  Quantity?

How so?

It's great to like your personnel,  but right now it's hard to say that Alcoa, Powell, Maryville,  and even AC aren't the most talented and athletic skill groups based on past production of returning players and offers from P5 and G5 programs.

The basis of my statement is listed below and it's obviously my opinion...but I believe it to be true:

-#22, Dozier, was the best running back on either team

-#13, Heyward, was the best wide receiver on either team

-#1, Rogers, was the best defensive back on either team

-#7, Hundley, was the second best running back on either team

-#1, Rogers, was the second best wide receiver on either team

-#13, Heyward, was the second best defensive back on either team

-#3, Rembert, was the third best running back on either team

-#33, Kelly, was the best linebacker on either team

-#17, Williams, was likely the fastest player on either team

#54, Pearson, was the best kicker on either team

-#54, Pearson, was the best punter on either team

Keep in mind, we're talking about Maryville here...one of the two top 6A programs in Tennessee. That's why I say that OR has the best skill players of any team in any classification. I might be wrong, but if I am wrong, it's not by much, because we're better than powerhouse Maryville at every spot on the field other than QB, offensive line, and defensive line.

Thanks.

Very objective and convincing.

The Vaughn kid must have sat this one out…

He played, and although I don’t agree with catswilds assessment concerning all of his opinions, but Dozier would be deadly behind a line the quality of a Maryville. He will be and is very good regardless, but behind Maryville’s line, he would be a shoo-in as a candidate for All State, I think.

You lost all credibility with your opinion just FYI.  You have three RB you believe are better than Vaughn who is committed to UVA which shows how much Oak Ridge Cool-aid you have been drinking. Ask any College Coach and they would take Vaughn over any RB that OR has.
