Please pray for PirateMike

Most of you know my brother has been battling Cystic Fibrosis since he was six years old. He has continually defeated the odds and is now 46 years old, far outliving what all his doctors originally said. The last few years have been very rough on him but he found ways to push through it. This year so far he has spent more time in the hospital than at home. He is currently in ICU at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. His liver, lungs and kidneys are in bad shape. We need a miracle from God above so please offer up your prayers on his behalf, and that of his family. This is very hard on all of us.

With football season starting tomorrow night, the reality of possibly losing him has hit me square in the gut. He and I have been on CoachT a very long time and spent many Friday nights together with our Dad watching and supporting our Pirates no matter where they played throughout they years. God willing I plan to sit beside him tomorrow night with my phone tuned into the Pirates game so he can listen to it. He's not able to talk much at all but that's okay. He and I truly appreciate all the friendships we have made on Friday nights traveling the great state of Tennessee. Your continued prayers are welcomed and truly felt.

Tom,

I've known you and Mike for many years and he is definitely in our prayers. We're praying for him and your whole family as you all go through this together. I had just mentioned to my sister, who graduated with him, that this is the time of year he looks forward to and would anxiously be waiting on. Now he's got bigger things to worry about than football, but then he's been fighting this battle his whole life and it sounds like he's going to keep on fighting ... just like a true Pirate and a true Volunteer!

Let him know we'll be thinking about him tomorrow night. Scratch that, I'll let him know I'm thinking about him tomorrow night.

One of my favorite memories is meeting you and Mike on a cool Fri night at the Speedway in 2016.He is one of a kind! The strength he has shown going thru what he has and still showing up at ball games is a story in itself. My prayers to you and him and the family!

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
