Only thing to really go off of is we scrimmaged Camden and handled them pretty easily. Hard to get any info off of any 7v7 stuff. We have scrimmages against usj and Crockett county coming up. Haywood backed out of our spring scrimmage. We had a inner squad scrimmage no one really scored both sides moved the ball in it. they split starters between both sides.

Never to early !!! With a championship undefeated middle school team with 230 lb full back and a 6ft4 reciever with hands and speed, as well as a freshman class with talent whos gonna bet against this Golden Tide family ???

The Junior struggled a lot last night. I thought the Freshman had the best night and it wasn’t very close. You’re correct in saying he made the better reads and far less errors, which is very unusual considering he is a Freshman, and the Junior is going into his 3rd year in the system. We moved the ball much better when the youngster was in. I don’t see any scenario where he’s not the starter. Odoms is a special talent. He will end up being at top 10 prospect in state by the time he’s a Senior. Several others showed flashes as well. #25 stands out physically, and also just a Freshman. 7 on 7 doesn’t really show much for us, because without the threat of the run, teams are just going man on the outside with the LB’s dropping into coverage. If they do that to us when the pads are on, we’ll run for 500+ yards per game. I know we’re reloading at several spots, but if the lines on both sides come together, this could be another great year for the Big Red.

Very entertaining on this thread lately. I for one do know Bass outside of coacht (even if he doesn't admit it). He is a good one, calls it like he sees it, no sugar coating.

Passing is not what HCHS does on a regular bases, but they CAN throw. #1 is one of the best receivers in the state, I believe. After watching the Tuesday 7 on 7s, HCHS will have to choose a QB. Just my opinion the Freshman looked better on Tuesday. I've seen both QBs in middle school and #16 in high school, both have good qualities. The freshman made better reads and a lot less errors of judgement tonight. But how he does with the whole team on the field will tell the story. A good start, saw a lot of good athletes on the field tonight. Way more than we've had in the past. Get them in the right positions this will be another great year.

Another tread on CoachT has the new Sonny Moore rankings...Oak Ridge is ranked # 16 overall and the # 1 true Class 5A team. The ranking list Catholic as the #1 5A team but we know Catholic is no longer in the 5A Classification. I know most fans don't put any validity in polls but here are my thoughts. If you are going to have rankins/polls then I like Oak Ridge somewhere in there. Do I feel we are the # 1 5A team? NO. To me Knoxville Central is # 1. Do I feel with a tremendous amount of hard work we can earn the right to call OR # 1 at the end of the season? YES. I am excited for this season to start and watch the Wildcats improve from week to week. Best of luck in practice Cats. We believe in you and are pulling for you everyday. RWR! Wildcat Pride.

ONB, They could still scrimmage. Or have a combined "Practice." Folks are so football starved before the season starts that they would even pay a little to watch it. I know I would. These local kids need to play each other. Their HS yrs are short and they never get them back. Let them have the memories they deserve instead of letting adults with fragile egos take the opportunity away from them. See if GB will call WB to schedule it.
