I like the fact that a lot of people are picking Oakland. A lot on Volquest think Oakland will win state. They will have a great team. I do know this. As long as GQ is coaching at Maryville the Rebels will always compete for championships.

Actually, this will be a down year for 7-AAA. Not alot going for that district this year outside of Oakland and Blackman

Until a team from 7-AAA wins state again, 7-AAA fans should probably tone down the SEC talk. A worthwhile comparison from 2006-2010, but maybe getting a bit old. Smyrna, Riverdale, and Siegel can make the playoffs, but wont do much past the 1st round

I agree until they win it all again, need to tone it down. But the reason they haven't is the addition of 4 new schools(Blackman,Siegal,Stewarts Creek,Cenral Magnet) in the last 10 years thinning the talent some what. Plus, the private schools in nearby Williamson County and Davidson County raid Rutherford talent. Rutherford Co sends more players to D-1 than any other county in football, other than Shelby, by a large margin.
