He may but I'm sure Knoxville is a bad memory. He would be a great coach for Oak Ridge or Kingsport if either one of them will run off their coach they have now.

wouldn't surprise anyone if he got back to East Tenn..going West was a wise decision

Shocking news about Coach McMillian retiring at Carter.  Excellent football coach as an assistant coach for many years.  Wonder why he is leaving after only 3 years.  Bet he goes back to Fulton as a "retired educator" and coaches again.

Because ultimately no one wants to deal with the nonsense & drama at Carter. Just isn't worth it. I'm surprised he stayed as long as he did. But I wouldn't doubt him going back to be an assistant coach at Fulton. His son still coaches there so I think that is definitely an option.

If Oak Ridge or Kingsport don't make changes to get Derek Rang as a head coach right now while the getting is good then they both deserve to wallow around in their own misery forever for not doing so.

Seems to be an issue of administration taking the side of some vocal parents.  Jeff is solid.  

 

Jeff is still a relatively young man with a lot to offer.  Wouldn't be surprised to see him possibly show up on the staff at a private school program and do the double dip thing.  Don't know that to be the case, as I haven't talked to him since all of this came down, but he is still a very much in demand coach.

I have not heard anything about harig being gone, but if it is true then the hire should come from inside the coaching staff. The DC is top priority in my opinion, a new hire coudn't get any worse than hiring a 3a "star" and putting him in a weak 5a district with some raw talent.

My guess is Harig will be the head coach at West next year. Getting a little too late seeing as the season ended so early. According to my grandson, nothing has occurred on the off-season front. That is alarming. Should have already been working out those kids that don't have training during the day.

West prinicipal has been out of the country for 2 weeks.  She returns tomorrow.  stay tuned.
