Do I think that he was deserving? Absolutely.  But so were the other 2 finalists.

One could make that same statement just about every year. If a kid gets nominated then I would consider it an honor.

He is a very deserving nominee. Have enjoyed watching him as well. Congrats to all nominated. It truly is a very distinguished honor.

Eddie Moore, Raquis Hale, Robert Robinson... From SP none of them won it. Eddie played in the NFL. All three of them were the best player in 1A their senior seasons, but none of them won it. It happens sometime.

1A Mr Football is already sealed, locked up, and finished. From Bryce’s freshman year to now, the improvement is incredible. For those that didn’t play QB, there’s a lot more than you think goes on especially trying to control your team (which is a bunch of teenagers), calling the game, reading defenses, plus racking up stats like he does. Now I know being a QB on the 1A level is different from the 5A-6A level but being a QB at GB isn’t the same as any other 1A school. You run the team and they go as you go. Bryce has done every bit of that and beyond. I mean they have made it to state every year they’ve been in High School. But I’ll let you know that he’ll take a gold ball over a Mr. Football trophy any day. Regardless, the trophy is his.

I remember watching Eddie play, he was a real physical running back.  He was the real deal.

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
