My point was and is that Creasy is a great Coach as was McDaniels. (The coaching staff and teams Creasy faced is considerably different) I dont believe there is the "no comparison, light years ,couldn't carry Creasy'e lunch box " that TomLHS has eluded to. Blackmans bets year from a talent perspective 2017 with Teague, Knox , Otey, Brown,  Mitchell, Murphy....that in my opinion is why we saw Watson depart.... I firmly believe if McDaniels and Creasy were to square off with evenly matched teams(talent wise) it would be a close game....

Fair enough, and I do believe McDaniel is a good coach.

Does being the "highest paid high school coach in Georgia" pay more than being a coordinator at a Power 5 school?  I seriously consider that it is even close.  It has been reported that one man in Tennessee was the athletic director, head football coach and head basketball coach with a salary over $600,000.00

King wasn’t a coordinator, and he wasn’t at a power 5 school. I don’t know what he was paid, but rumor has it that Carrollton is paying him $200,000. The only way that I will ever believe that ANY high school coach makes $600,000 is if I see the contract or a check stub with my own two eyes!

Do you know how many of the D2AAA schools pay 150,000+?  I would guess that all of them and most of the D2AA schools.

The contract for the Ensworth coach that made over the 600,000 was posted on this website a few years ago.

You beat me to it. Rankin is at Alcoa . No chance to play them because they are in lowly 3A according to you. But didn't that 3A team beat that Blaze's butt this year and last? Yeah 3A programs are crap, right?

Quarles lost to Creasy twice.

Creasy was not afraid to schedule Gallatin twice when he was at Trousdale. Check the stats on that one.

Your guy at Willie Blunt sure cannot beat Maryville even without Quarles can he?

Creasy is not a god by any means but he is much higher up on the list of great coaches than McDaniel will ever be.

1-1.

Private schools aren’t as prominent in football in Georgia. 150,000 is not that uncommon for public coaches here. 200,000 is new territory though.

And I’m sorry, but nobody deserves that kind of money to coach in high school. I don’t care if he coaches every sport, teaches every class, and prepares the lunches everyday!

Let’s not be jealous, just take the money and say THANK YOU!

People forget that before McDaniel went to Oakland they had a pretty rough stretch. Yes he inherited talent but it was a .500 program.
creasy inherited a program that had become a 3rd/semis type program.
Creasy has won championships at places that have  traditionally been successful.

He took over a good situation and made it BETTER. Trousdale also has not won a championship since he left.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
