Vandy tore the old turf out and had grass for about 8 years. Went to field turf in 2012.

I like Lupi's for Pizza. El Fagon for Mexican. Panda ( NOT PANDA EXPRESS ) for China Chow. Rib and Loin for Barbeque although I like Buddies Barbeque a lot, too. BiBa's for Italian. Of course, Red Lobster for Seafood. Jason's Deli makes a good cornbeef and pastrame sandwich but you need to add condiments to keep it from being dry.

All are in Hixson except for Jason's.

I don't know that we are looking at the big picture here. I don't think the "TSSAA" is worried about team travel, but the "T$$AA" wants every opportunity to make money. Fans in the stands make them money. If you go east or west, you could cut down on attendance. 

....and for all of the restaurants being named... thanks for all of the good tips just in case they do change the venue. lol

I think it would be the prefect size stadium for a HS championship game
