Bottom line any school that can take players out of their area and charge tuition have an unfair advantage.  If you stay public then A multiplier should be added to their enrollment.

I'm assuming that your moniker Pftigers alludes to the fact that the school that you follow is Pigeon Forge...just for giggles I looked up your policy, and you are in an open zoned system.

Exactly. Most of the time the people on these boards that whine the loudest about open zone have no clue what it means and what they are talking about.

Alcoa has a distinct recipe for it's success and it's not about how many players are on their roster. Other schools/towns could do it but many just don't. Alcoa has an excellent youth football program. These kids have been wearing those colors since they were able to play football and the high school is in direct involvement with the youth and the middle school programs. These kids have been playing championship football, together, for over a decade in many instances and winning is culture. While Anytown HS Football has been together for maybe four. Alcoa is essentially preparing for state title runs 12-13 years in advance. An excellent booster program is also key to success, money will get you the necessary staff and equipment needed to have a consistent product on the field. Alcoa has all of this and it can be replicated with a dedicated coaching staff, booster club, and football loving town.

Yes, the pipeline has to be primed years in advance. Youth Programs has to feed the Middle School Program. The Middle School Program feeds the High School. Just to show a glimpse of the pipeline.........

The Middle School Is Back to Back MAC conference Champs. 2020 & 2021.

    • Hey Turtle did you see Stanton on channel 10 last at 11:00? He did a good job selling AE's need for new facilities. Looks like they are gonna get them. Glad for them!
    • I heard they have most of their team coming back. Who is the next coach?  Also, what about Chester County? That one has been open for a while.  Gibson County also???
    • Marion had no answer for groves last year and he’s added a lot of weight since last year already. And the other groves Marion couldn’t block…he’ll be back.
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
