I gotta think Oak Ridge will be the biggest and most athletic team Soddy Daisy has faced. But, obviously, between the two, Soddy has been far more consistent, has executed better and has taken better care of the ball. Scott Parrott is having an unbelievable season hitting 70% of his passes (99/141) for 1,468 yards. How about 20 TDs to just 3 INTs?!! With the 2 young QBs at William Blount throwing for better than 250 yards against Oak Ridge -- taking into account their inexperience, and their lack of arm strength -- I can't help but think Parrott is going to have a field day. To Oak Ridge's credit, the Wildcats got 3 picks last week, but again, Parrott is a different breed and hasn't been making those mistakes this year. Oak Ridge is capable, but it will require far and away the Wildcats' best performance of the season.

An Oak Ridge win sure would make the playoff chase interesting.

Soddy has been a surprise this year. They have obviously been playing really well. I think OR will get it together this week. The passing offense has made progress. If we're able to get some balanced offense going it will be interesting.

Can anyone provide an OR injury report? Who won't be able to go this week?

Heard today that Zach Hughes will be out. Other than that, don't know.

Oak Ridge will lose by 28 or more. The coaching difference will make a big impact on the final score. 4-6 looks like the most likely record for Oak Ridge this year.

I saw the OR - WB game on tv. The OR o-line looks OK but I did not see much from their Def. Line. In fact, they did not do that much and played high. Did not see much technique but it could have just been this game. They look slow on the D-Front. Not a typical OR Def. Front

O-Line did very well at times

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
