I think the tackles for a loss were defense related but the fumbles and penalties were discipline related.

Wow. Good game for the spectators. Shoulda, woulda, coulda for both teams. IMO-it was one of the worst games for offensive execution for murvil all year. Give oaklands D credit for some of that. There pass defense was a lot better than I expected and the front 4 was hard to handle. Murvils D bent like crazy, but only gave up one big play. I thought they played pretty well. #6 for murvil made like 12 big plays in the game. He was the best player on the field.

 

Oakland is the type of team I think of when I think of great football. Defense that wants to dominate and an offense that wants to make you like it. But I am old and the game has changed. Congrats to oakland on a good season and their effort tonight.

Time running out on Rutherford County schools. As many as 5-6 new HS projected for next 10-15 years. Talent pool will be diluted even more

I was gonna ask about the number of new schools projected. But if you build 5-6 more schools and the population more than doubles, won't the talent pool be the same? (at least in theory)

Defense improved from week 1 until now more than any I've ever seen over the course of a season. You should be very proud.

I had to attend a funeral last night and missed the first half but was listening to the radio on the way to see the second half and just before half when Oakland had the ball Jeff smith was saying it would be nice if Maryville created a fumble right here just before half and score again and I'll be danged if it didn't happen.
