They have to beat Riverside then either UC or Peabody. Don't say dumb crap.

The have already won against Riverside once this year and I don’t think they will have as much trouble tomorrow night. They score way to fast for UC and UCs grind it out style to keep up with them. Trenton is another beast all together. Trenton and Waverly is both tough! Trenton’s pass defense would determine the winner between the two..

CA lost to Waverly by 4 with lots of injuries and Peabody was better than us when we were healthy. And Waverlys offense is stoppable. Didn’t score in the second half on us when our players stepped up. UC isn’t as good as last year, but I guarantee they could hang with Waverly. Peabody will beat Waverly for sure if they play

That’s what you used to make your point? A story tailored to paint Cornersville as a “Cinderella”. Do you know how journalism works (don’t answer that we already know the answer).

I’ve had numerous people throughout the week ask me where Huntingdon is. Do you think people really keep up with you all like that? You should leave Huntingdon for the first time and see what the rest of the world has to offer.

CB surely you know that besides football Huntingdon is entertainment center of West Tennesse. Last week we had Ricky Scaggs at the "Dixie". Dec 07 Jason Isbell is in town. You need to pick up a few Huntingdon T-shirts while you're in town.

Who you boys have for entertainment up that way?

A couple members of the Black Crowes lived in Cornersville way back when. Alf Batz ( former lead guitarist for Iron Maiden) lived there as well. His son Noah would have been a senior on last year's team. I never knew who the guy was. He would show up to practice in an F-350 pulling a horse trailer, wearing Carharts covered in mud. Never said a word about being a metal guitarist for one of the great 80's metal bands. I didn't find out who he was until years later.

Wow... they are on me today aren’t they? Haha I like that, I never lost to Huntington in any sport when I was in high school so Internet victories doesn’t matter to me

I never lost to Trenton either.  Coach Ward and Coach Kilzer were buddies and Ward told coach Kilzer he could run the single wing and beat him. So we changed our whole offense that week to the single wing and beat y'all 21-0. That was on 1968.

I think Waverly is overrated

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
