SP from the East and I sure wouldn't bet against LC from the west.

We are always in the mix somehow, but as of late that Semi-final round has been our Achilles heel, called Greenback.  We might have 14 or so juniors returning that should help.  Just have some key spots where someone needs to step up.

What’s SP got coming back?

LC loses a bunch but they got some athletes coming back. I’m gonna say the Puckett youngun is a shoein for Mr Football consideration. They probably a semifinalist favorite. Huntingdon/McEwen will battle it out in R6 and R5 will be as up in the air as this season with probably nod to Fayetteville. As Waker stated Huntingdon got some big ol boys coming up and we always find running backs. If we can get the QB position up to speed we will be alright I think. I think the Bradley kid will be alright with work. Awesome freshman class coming up and another Warbritton in the pipeline in 2021.

I'd wait until the start of 2020 to ask this question. Too many good athletes and "stars" moving schools every year now, from the East to the West. I'll make my predictions around August 2020.

TSSAA gonna have to get a handle on all the transfers. Unfortunately that’s the society we live in today. People want everything to be like travel ball where you can just pick up and leave if you don’t like the team your on.

SP loses some but has some coming back.  Several running backs will be back.  We will have to see how the QB recovers.  Key will be some linemen on both sides as well as Tipton and the receiver Hubbard.  People better keep an eye on Gordy the next couple or 3 years.

Agree. I say unless it’s a move of 100 miles the student athlete needs to sit a year.

Dude I really hope you are not referring to LC? Who in their right mind would move to the 11th poorest county in the NATION...to win football? Yea not here! As I stated we had 1 in Dyersburg 1 in Obion Co and 1 at Dyer co that could have really helped LC. our gain to loss ratio in the past 15 years is 1 to 50! Thompson Masons folks bought a house out by the lake because they liked the territory! Burkett I will remind you both his parents are LC alum and recently separated and both moved back to LC! I’m not even gonna argue we were LOADED before they added though! Ain’t nobody moving to LC to win football games

Chill out shock. I’m not specifically calling out LC. In your reply you said yourself it’s a problem however with all the kids that left LC for other towns. I’m saying put a rule in place that is easy to understand and uniform in application. Put a stop to all the travel ball families of the world.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
