Tracy Malone was the head coach at whitwell and was NOT employed by Marion County Board of Education. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

I shouldn’t have indicated that it couldn’t be done only that it would be difficult. You can juggle teaching positions around if other teachers are willing to shift and are certified to do so as well but you can’t just place people in classrooms teaching subjects that can’t teach. Also depends on when that particular coach is available to meet and prepare for games and practices.

Malone also lasted just one year.  AFTER they hired him they found out he didn’t have his license.  It was also getting closer to spring practice time so rather than Whitwell go through a coaching search again he stayed for 1 year.

Whitwell’s way of doing things isn’t the best example to use when discussing structure within a football program.

I have been told the pirate ship and cannon will be replaced with this next season. The truck will be used to haul equipment for away games and sit in the end zone for home games. The administration has said the pirates seem to only be able to blow the "SEMI" horn every year now so they're going to this.

I guess Jasper has to be able to get some type of dig in at us these days. Well played my friend.

My Turn...

I feel confident you boys can get a first down before the fourth quarter on us in 2020. You do have one thing going for you. The game in 2020 is at Beene Stadium. The last two trips to Jasper has resulted in the warriors being put in the half a hundred club.

Gotta get it where you can these days.

Should be better this year. Too many young kids the past couple years has really shown. Different mentality with Coach Pruitt as well.

That train whistle has been awfully quiet.

Whats the story? Is he originally from there? From a outsider perspective this makes no sense.  Who leaves a potential state title contender for a below average team?  Somebody must have got their feelings hurt.  Whats the scoop Pirate faithful?

Seems like some play makers leaving were eluded to last season.

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
