Peabody/Meigs who wins and why

I’ve seen both teams play. Meigs has the advantage at the line; they’re strong, physical, and fast. They have plenty of athletes to compete and hold their own without any problems. I don’t see Meigs letting this one slip out of their hands.  I think Meigs is going to get the job completed.

So you have seen Peabody in person ? Watching in person and on tape makes a difference. I’m guessing you’ve seen meigs in person and Peabody on tape

Not is person but on film. Peabody is very solid and has lot of speed. It’s probably going to be very tight game. I’m planning on making the trip to watch this one and a few others. There’s nothing like a good HS football game.

You sound ridiculous. Obviously have not seen both teams play. Peabody’s line is no way inferior to Meigs.
Peabody 29-20

I will start by saying Meigs is better than McKenzie, especially offensively, those saying it will be a 2 to 3 score game, how you figure. I expect a good game personally, it could be a couple score game if one of the teams turns the ball over a few times...

No doubt they are better than McKenzie. They have some hogs up front and athletes. They will have to adapt in game plan throughout and so will we. This might be the best game this upcoming weekend at Cookeville. It’ll be a tight one throughout, and will come down to who wants it more.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
