I’ve seen both play. Stanfield wasn’t even in the same league. Throwing the ball up and the receivers running under it doesnt make you a 5 star. The Simpson kid has a rocket for a arm but I don’t believe he will start at alabama. Hopefully he proves me wrong

And you seen him when? In the semi final game in 2018 when he had a torn labrum?

From reading a Rivals article and from Ty comments it sounded like Heupel never had a chance. Kid should of been honest. TY said. "“On February 1, I knew it was Alabama for me,” said Simpson. The only reason TN had a chance to begin with was that Pruitt was going to hire his Dad. Long term that would of sucked. Recruiting the next years QB would of been hard. Hi I’m Coach Simpson would love to have you at TN but my son is still going to be the QB.

Do you think I only watched him play in one game ?  Just like I watched every significant game meigs played this year I watched as much of waverly as I could when I thought they might end up playing Peabody.

he was a great qb by the way but not d1 good that’s pretty rare

4. Huntingdon

5.  Waverly

6. Trousdale County

7. Monterey

My five would be

1. Meigs

2. Westview 7-5 in 3A last year

losses were Milan, Covington, South Gibson (twice) and Ensworth.

Milan was runner up and beat South Gibson and Pearl Cohn to make it to State.

3. Marion

4. Trousdale

5. Union City.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
