  1. You guys do realize that Watertown has more weapons than #7 Probably the deepest that Webster has ever had. Should be a good game. But I don’t see TC scoring 28 points on a Josh Hackett defense

  2. Not going to argue with a guy who deludes himself in to believing that the program he supports doesn't/hasn't taken transfers and out of zone 9th graders. That's just hypocritical.

  3. Ahhhh, I’ve finally found yalls problem not being able to make a deep run in the playoffs! Jv feeds right to the high school! But I forgot chapel hill is only worried about the big names and yelling at the refs when they get “robbed”!

  4. I’ll just be honest, I think posters don’t want to eat crow and if we make mistakes the way we did the last 2 weeks it’s going to be a long night for TC. But posters also know this bunch has what it takes, we just have to cut down on mistakes! Just my thought on the matter on why it’s kind of quiet.

  5. And to you sir, Never at any point have I said we haven’t taken in transfers at Central because we most certainly have. But I can promise you this, NO COACH at our school has walked up to a kid(s) at the end of a ballgame and asked them to transfer to us. That’s a fact

  6. I’m not revisiting anything, a guy asked why Fulton wasn’t “Fulton” anymore and I gave my honest answer. To be frank however, there’s a couple people on here, one in particular who believes there’s not any wrongdoings going on at Powell when I feel very strongly that there is, but to your point that’s a dead horse...until it’s not again and there will be a time that happens. An old saying goes, The truth hurts, not saying that ab you Nut just in general.

  11. Should be, Sonny Moore has it close also 118.71 to 117.21 in favor of BC!

  13. This is actually the best time for these teams to play. While the students are Online, they are not crammed into school Buildings with hundreds to even thousands of potential carriers. To me, it would be easier to keep the kids safe right now.... The staffs have protocols for these workouts. They just need to carry them over to real practices and games. They need a voice in the within the district that is not there for personal gains and not simply a yes man.

  14. I remember a few years ago Moore County received a 1st place vote and that was after losing 2 games in a row and not scoring a single point in either contest. So, anything is possible.

  16. I know you weren't directing anything at me, and I appreciate that. But just so we're clear, you literally said "a guy asked why Fulton wasn’t 'Fulton' anymore and I gave my honest answer," when no one had said/asked that. I had hoped we could make it this week without the inevitable back and forth over the current situation at Powell. I get that you have an ax to grind, and you've made your feelings crystal clear in the past year over this. You've told your truths, you've pontificated, you've even gotten into a spat with HTV. But for Christ's sake, can we talk about something else??

  17. Count your blessings! hey Bassy. Come out come out wherever you are. hey Roy, I'll trade ya some goat feed and a few boxes of fudge rounds for a couple tickets to our game Friday. I'll even let you read to me outta your Murphy Fair book.

  18. I agree could be low scoring, if line play wins this one TCs chances got a little better

  19. Good point and the interesting intangible is roster size: Bledsoe had 40(last year); Rams have 50+(currently) and could be the difference more than one extra game @H2Oman mentioned!

  20. There are clues this year in Murphy Fairs Book regarding the whereabouts and identities of Bass and Roy. It's up to you to decipher them.

  21. I was impressed with West. They may be the favorite in 5A.

  22. If they moved, it is what it is. People do it all the time. Not everybody has the ability to just up and move though.

  23. It will all come down to line play.. If we can block we will win!

  24. Particularly with this season, it is hard to predict games that are more than a week away! In a normal season you don't know how/what injuries will do to your line-up! A team may look "stout" after a game on Friday and come Monday be just the opposite due to the issues we are dealing with!! I pray all teams are untouched and I try to stay optimistic and hopefully all will stay safe!!

  26. Has to be concerning for Farragut that the entire defense is SR's except for 1. I'm surprised that this game was not closer, I expected a West win just not by this margin. They have address the offensive side of the ball as well, #20 will be beat up by the middle of the season if they can't get help moving the ball up the field.

  27. Clearwater was a beast for years. I am waiting on the IMG vs Ravenwood game....hoping they represent the state a little better. I just got another call from one of my buddies in Texas talking smack. Maybe I was a little too confident this year about TN vs powerhouses from other states....

  28. Officially game week, keys to victory for each team: TC: Make H2O one dimensional, Win the Trenches, Control the Clock H2O: stop up the middle, get the ball to Hughes-Malone, finish drives

  29. Yes. But if the kids actually moved into the school zone, that may trump the coach/player relationship rule. Needs to be clarified.

  30. I heard they got a QB who can stand on his head and throw with his feet. I also heard he's going to be the 1st Overall Pick in the 2026 NFL Flag Football Draft.

  31. Let's just say I think we have a lot of work to do on the Defensive side of the ball. Everyone who has seen me post on here knows I believe the game is always won at the line of scrimmage and our D line did not play like a typical Greene Devil Line. When they line up and run the ball 64 times for 271 yards I wouldn't want to be at practice today because sure it will be intense. The offense put up 34 points in the first game and had good numbers (9-12 passing for 255 yards and 3 TD's and Gudger had 11 carries for 102 yards) so O wasn't the problem. I'm sure Spradlen will have them ready but still work to do in my opinion lawman. Greeneville is young with only 9 seniors and only 5 start and another senior rotating.

  32. Fwiw, no one in this thread asked why Fulton is no longer Fulton. Keepitmoving simply said they aren't the "old" Fulton. I understand your feelings here, but let's stop pretending that you were prompted for that type of response.

  34. TCA has weapons and, by necessity, a more balanced attack this year. It will be tough plowing on the ground against the Bruins front line. Union City obviously did not challenge the pass defense much, but in week 1 the NCS QB was on the run all night and forced to make several miscues. Pledger remains a weapon in the kicking game, 6/6 touchbacks and 5/5 XP Friday night with 4 punts inside the 20 (2 inside the 5). He even showed off the arm, throwing a TD pass. Tabor is a big threat returning kicks, rounding out a solid special teams unit under Coach Hardegree.

  35. I chuckled when I saw a preseason all-state list that had him 2nd team. I still have nightmares about that guy. Just as memorable as the game he had was his class and humility in post-game interviews. Seems like a solid kid that represents his school well. All that said, hopefully the Bruins will have some better answers for him come week 6.

  36. 3 of the final 4 were from the west I think that FCS and TKA would have held their own, but beyond that I can't say for sure. USJ certainly got more fight from TCA/JCS/CA than they did from Chatt-Grace

  37. That's what I remember seeing. And it was looking good. Told Devilman because CAK had just beat no one 28-24 and Boone best Geeneville. I was impressed but I had no idea how it happened until now. That is impressive. I was thinking maybe star player for CAK was out etc...But that is really good!!

  38. No offense bobcat, but why do "we" have to keep revisiting this? We know how you feel about it, so why continue to beat a dead horse in every single Powell thread?

  39. I’m just calling it like it is Nut. If anyone wants to deny that was how it all went down I’m all ears on the “truth.” I’ve been around awhile and it just seems fishy to me that wherever that guy ends up, that particular team becomes loaded with players. That’s the gods honest truth.

  40. Probably wouldn’t go underestimating Fulton, their not that bad. They’re defensive line will beat Powell’s Oline to death. Problem will be can Fulton score, but trust me they are a pretty good team. To your point of them not being the “Fulton of old” I have an answer to that also. Powell took all of Fultons youth league players who are now playing for their youth league Coach who is Powell’s OC. Not saying it’s right or wrong, but that’s definitely what happened.

  41. Hoping to make it for that game. Excited to see #1 back on the field.

  42. My guess is if Powell gave them a tuff time with the pass they worked on it all week. Hes very talented but still a developing sophomore and hit a 20 yard pass in the endzone in a high pressure situation with 20 seconds on the clock. Keep an eye on Damron through his senior year. Hes a special QB + His senior year lines up with the undefeated inman Bulldogs who are all sophomores right now. We have some real talent coming up. That beech game is on the rear view mirror now. DC is in the crosshairs and kicking the Hornets nest. DC doesn't lean anything about tuff football beating up on crocket and onion county. But they haven't learned yet. It looks like they never will.

  43. I dont think the QB played great by no means but its kinda hard to be accurate when 3 to 5 DB players are in your face before he could look up.I think the WRs played awful last night. But I said all week DB is really really good this yr and I hope it just helps Oak Ridge get better.I think DB has found a great coaching staff that teaches all the things that really matter.

  44. I do not disagree , it is very sad to see players not getting to play when teams within 5 miles playing. Sad that kids are getting caught up in any political agenda.

  46. I don't think metro will play any sports this fall. I think the powers that be hope other systems shut down or metro puts off deciding until it is too late. Looking for the easy way out without having to look bad and can say they tried. Metro has already said having high school students in school will be at earliest after fall break . I hear it will end up being in January.

  47. I hate that metro would do this to the kids. I get it rona is bad but no worse then the flu. I bet after the election rona won’t be a big deal anymore. I hate they try to play politics and the kids miss out on many great memories.
