  1. Sounds like the gospel to me! I can say this, Dawgs are 23-2 at home in the last four years, and neither one of them losses were to Gordonsville.

  3. TSSAA has contract with NFHS and they have the right to the game if they can broadcast it. This blocks out the school's ability to livestream like they do during the regular season. If NFHS is unable to do the game, the school can pay the $750 fee and livestream it with their own production. I'm part of ESBN (BA livestream) and we've been allowed to do audio only when NFHS has been involved where we have camera on scoreboard and produce it like it's on the radio. Last week MyTV30 did the game and NFHS was supposed to pick up the feed for out of town folks. Many paid the $13 monthly subscription fee and there was no feed. An absolute disaster! This week, we're back and the response has been overwhelming. NFHS sucks and it's just a TSSAA money grab.

  4. You know it’s bad when the TSSAA sends an apology on a game you still ended up winning.

  5. I see this one being a little tougher on the Rebels than some others on here, but I still think we win it. Boone may be a very good team, but I don’t think they can throw anything at the Rebels that we have not already seen. If we bring our game and stay away from the stupid (see Central and or Oak Ridge games from previous playoffs) and we don’t get blind officials, I see the Rebels advancing to the Semis. If we get the officials from the Oak Ridge playoff game from two years ago, then will be dribble driving off with PA to basketball season.

  8. I will say that I, as a Tomcat fan, respect South Gibson's team and fans. I respect the team and fans of our other opponents as well. I'm not sure who to attribute it to, but I'll close with the following quote: “Win with humility, lose with grace, and do both with dignity.” Go Haywood, beat Milan!

  9. That is true. They have a huge advantage there. But I think gville speed still is too much for AC to overcome.

  10. Sorry! Been out of touch noons! But Swipes is right on it. Been trying to figure out a way to beat Greeneville; yes again lol not really, like I could do anything. But I sure can write here and blow smoke lol.

  11. NFHS is complete junk and ended my subscription with them (Horrible video and that is if it even worked). I'll be at the game like every other time AC and Greeneville have played. I'm still lifting and running everyday so maybe a little bit more than 5 in me

  14. Just wanted to jump on here and say kudos to those that jumped on to rep MASE ! It really is cool when those kids get some recognition from someone in their own community! I have seen alot of these Memphis teams come to Trenton and most of the time take a beat down and behave like gentlemen shake hands hit hard ,get hit hard ,get up and if the end of the game represent Memphis well ! Coming from an inter-city school system myself I can say with all honesty if you weren’t playing Peabody I would be pulling for you, and if you do beat Peabody you will be my team to follow ,and hopefully win the championship! I won’t give a prediction on this game I do think Peabody is an underdog in all honesty! But we’re gonna roll Tide up there and hopefully leave Memphis with a win GATA

  15. "MASE approved and to stay in 1A" That's the part that I meant to quote. Because they changed their enrollment number they dropped from 2A to 1A. The poster stated that they would stay in 1A which was incorrect based off of the original number that was provided to the TSSAA.

  18. Cut out the financial aid or reduce it to just 3 players like it used to be then I will welcome them back. But if your gonna hand cherry pick 40 players then forget it. It won’t be fair. Most of those large privates have over half the team on financial assistance. I could care less about the private schools ever rejoining the publics. Just fine without them.

  19. Not even the refs from 2014 Rhea County couldn't keep West from winning this one.

  20. Knox County - Austin East Magnet School - 3-8 record in 3A this season. Where would you recommend they play? Not sure how Magnet works in other counties, but the Magnet schools in Knox County are not really causing any issues with sports.

  25. Rory had a lot of talent on that team to throw to. That 97 team was pretty special.

  26. For all you Alcoa haters and ones who like to throw crap at the wall to see if it sticks… To set the record straight, Alcoa has nothing to gain from the proposal. Blount Counties athletic directors couldn’t make the proposal because it wouldn’t look good with them being in the same County system. Alcoa’s athletic director was asked to make the proposal by someone in the COUNTY. Fact! Hate on…

  29. Upperman should be the favorite until someone can beat them. Beating a very good Oakland team in the season opener should send a message to AAA basketball that they are not going anywhere. White County looked impressive at Lebanon last Saturday and will be right there at the end. Cumberland County and Livingston Academy will both be very good once again and that district will be very tough. South Gibson is a very well coached team and Lincoln County had a good summer and preseason and they will shock some teams. Lawrence County looked very good on Tuesday on the road and has very good length in a weak district. Still be interesting to see how Page does this year with a new coach. Was not impressed with Tullahoma at Lebanon with the new hire, they have a lot of talent and could surprise some people but was not well coached. Lot of good teams in the middle tennessee area in AAA but Upperman is still the champion.

  32. I blocked for him. 2 time Mr football offensive back 94, 95. He passed away early this year unfortunately. Had the lineman Mr. football on that 95 team also. Cory Dobbs. Also blocked for a great player in 1993 named Scotty Madison and a guy named Chad Duggin. Duggin passed away a few years ago also. We had some great players on those teams those 3 years. Undefeated regular season in 1993 and lost to state champs sweetwater in OT in playoffs. Beat the 1 a state champs Trousdale co. Clint brown was only a sophomore that season. The 94 and 95 season the only loss was to Portland the 3a runner up in 94 and the 3a semi finalist in 95. 95 team beat the 2a state champs goodpasture in regular season and lost to the runner up Meigs co in the playoffs so we played some pretty good ball teams

  33. R5 posters; publish a novel with descriptive playbooks and defensive schemes for both teams, then predict exact scores down to a missed extra point...game is played and opposite team scores the most points and wins the game.

  35. The weeks of being a favorite will surely come to a close come the Championship game… but I will admit things definitely worked out in your favor this season. Unless the Memphis teams are the real deal this year, which i don’t believe to be true, y’all got a real shot at the title game… but boy is that going to be lopsided lol no hate just being honest

  36. Upperman and White County should both make the state tournament if both stay healthy. Upperman beat a good Oakland team last night. They have definitely reloaded. The new freshman is really good. To start as a freshman in this program is huge.

  40. Weather will have a small factor in play calls this week. Hope someone has a good heater on the sideline and the footballs have been prepared properly. Defensive line for Riverside will have to dominate the line of scrimmage again this week. Against Mt. Pleasant they did a remarkable job of keeping the Tiger's offensive attack on its heels. The amount of pressure decided the game in the second half. The offense for the Panthers did a great job of moving the chains and being patient in the play calls. Gave their defense time to rest and make adjustments. Very well coached game in my opinion. Lewis County played a familiar opponent and took care of business in physical fashion. They have played at a high level all year and could become a history maker if they are able to keep the run game going. Run game is also dependent on the threat and efficiency of the passing attack. Offensive balance has kept many defense's guessing this year. I also have to give some props to their defense. Improving every week, great tackling all year. The overall energy of the team has been a factor for them, You can tell a lot by a sideline that is always into the game and cheering their teammates. Small things make a big difference to me. So, for Riverside.. No Pressure, No Diamonds For Lewis..... No Surrender, No Retreat.

  43. Incredible game to end the regular season, I hope this one is no different. This will likely be the last time we meet for a while. East was favored to win the first one, and we pulled it off. I’d say they are favored to win the rematch as well. That being said, we have already proved we can do it and seem to be clicking at the right time. Hopefully another great environment. Go Owls

  44. They can be beat at home. My Jackets did it in 2017 in round 2 after trailing 14-0 at half. They have a nice, traditional stadium. Good football atmosphere too. I think PC gets it done.
