  1. Lakeway might be there but look at their dual schedule last year with TN teams, it was and always has been virtually non-existent. Really hard to get a feel for where they are with respect to the entire state. Personally I've never understood why they seem to wrestle so little. Perhaps their inability to put together a full squad has played a role, don't know.

  2. Preseeds announced today. Here's who we have seeded. 120- 11. Carson Dupill (Greenville) 132- 15. Casen Roark (Father Ryan) 138- 6. Matt Hart (Baylor) 157- 3. Hunter Sturgill (Baylor) 165- 9. Max Norman (Baylor) Side Note, Flo just put out a write up on the insanity that is the 165 bracket. Not one time did they mention Max (with the exception of the seeds). A high finish in that bracket would increase his stock even higher than it already is. You can find the write up.. HERE

  3. 1. Roll Call... 4. a-k... l. The state office has been charged by the state legislature to ask TSSAA member schools about their desire to modify the existing transfer rules of the association. The state office asked the membership to vote for one of three options: 1) Keep the current transfer rules. 2) Provide students the opportunity to transfer one time after establishing a high school athletic record. 3) Provide students the opportunity to transfer one time after establishing a high school athletic record provided the transfer takes place before they begin their 10th grade year.

  4. The Georgia teams are hard to find info on. For some reason they think its a good idea to charge people to view their rankings. They also don't enjoy updating trackwrestling. I think Cass and Gilmer are the more complete teams but Social Circle and Central Carroll have a couple stand out kids on their squads.

  7. I can imagine a lot worse. For starters, a football program with only 14 playoff wins in their existence. No semifinal appearances. Countless 1st round playoff loses. Yeah, I can imagine a lot worse. Thanks for watching and wanting to be us.

  8. Can you imagine living 60 years and finding your only purpose in life is to troll successful high school programs from your mom’s basement? What a miserable existence.

  9. I always stay leary of preachers and Mr FCA guys. They usually have some really deep demons or use control to get what they want.

  10. Initially wondered why I was tagged in a post made over a month ago. Looks like it took every bit of a month to put that manifesto together.

  11. This will lead to the destruction of HS sports as those teams move to a club level. This is a very BAD IDEA

  12. You are correct. Franklin got Vanderbilt involved with some highly-rated prospects through donors paying players (illegally) and on paper his classes were top-25 types. Franklin also persuaded Vanderbilt - through powerful Vandy alums - to lower their academic standards in order to get some questionable recruits enrolled. When he left, more than half of the players he had lined up to enroll in 2014 de-committed or didn't meet academic protocol. Mason refused to do anything illegal or allow donors to buy players, and he adhered to academic standards established at Vanderbilt. Mason may not be the answer for MTSU but I wouldn't count him out.

  13. Mason Inherited a total disaster , 4 kids going to prison, a school embarrassed by football players crimes, an administration already tight on admissions got tighter. Franklin took a good portion of the recruiting class with him to Penn State.

  14. I f that happens here, the players better choose wisely. If they transfer and it doesn't work out or is not a good fit, then they are in a bind.

  15. I don't know much about Lakeway but I'm sure McCallie will be once they get all of their football players in the lineup as well as their young studs.

  16. I believe his first year was 2018-2019. Jeremy took over for legendary Coach Mark Blevins when coach took a job out of state. @OneEyedKing

  17. The last several years Bearden has played excellent defense from what I have seen. They regularly hold teams well under their season averages. Right now coacht page has them allowing only 40.8 ppg...

  19. This is the best slate of title games I have seen in a while as far as being competitive! I really enjoyed most all of these games from Thursday through tonight, I wish they were like this every year!

  23. I knew I was right about this game. Upperman Bees were a good team but they could not beat Peal Firebirds bad in this game. It did not happen. Pearl Firebirds were too good to let it happen and they won the game. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

  24. Seems like a bunch of freshman did well at Blackhorse. Curious if Workman goes to 108 at end of year...would think he would be a finalist w a chance to win it. Then I see top ranked guys being Walker(113),Jakob(120),Bosken or Smalling at 126, Little(132).

  25. In terms of the playoffs: It's almost certain the eastern side (Regions 1 - 4) will be represented by a school in the Knoxville area. None of the schools in Tri-cities or Chattanooga have a chance. No way to know for sure but the state champion will come from one of these: Henry County Knox West Oak Ridge Page Powell

  26. Was thinking Ingle as QB Coach, Adam Caine as RB Coach, David Ellis OL/TE Coach, Will Hester for WRs. Stephen Jackson for DLine, Jim Gaylor for LBs, Lamar Brown for DBs with Buck Fitzgerald as recruiting coordinator. Should have been an AD

  27. No sir I am not. I'm no chief, I'm just an Indian. I was under the impression our supervisors were at least partially compensated via the state. I could be mistaking though. In our association, after we pay the $70 to the state of course, we have dues of $50. That is to (to my understanding) either pay, or supplement pay of the supervisors (they really do put in work they are out and about throughout the area 3 or 4 nights a week observing,) pay for the end if season banquet, and to pad a contingency fund. After that, each assigner (varsity, sub varsity, MS) has a $50 charge. I don't really mine at all paying the local guys, especially the MS assigners. They got a tough job trying to fill out their schedules, especially on Tuesdays. They really have scrape the bottoms of the barrel to get games covered.

  31. If I told you in 2021 after the State Championship in girl’s basketball that they would not win 9 games total the next 2 seasons would you believe me? Macon has to have some luck when it comes to players.

  32. Good call. Only game that wasn’t much Pumpkin was the Alcoa-East Nasty. Nothing against East, they just happened to run into the buzz saw of 3A.

  33. Was #2 trying to be a hero the play before by running his mouth in the other teams huddle and had to be pulled away by his player? Why was he not flagged? Why was #0 not flagged and tossed for body slamming a player? Funny thing was when the smoke cleared and #48 called their bluff #2 and #0 tucked tail and run like trouble makers like that do when the rubber hits the road! LOL #48, you probably close kin to sargeant York! You don’t take stuff off loud mouth bullies and I like that. When the refs don’t stop stuff like that I guess some folks will stop what the refs won’t! LOL as for the East Robertson coaches that ran on the field and done some suspicious things themselves” that’s all on film” That’s not the first time. Earlier in the year a film shows them hitting and bumping another teams chain gang crew. Maybe the coaches at East Robertson need an attitude adjustment themselves and it shows in their players all year! TSSAA need to look at this film real close from start to finish and tell their refs to stop the talking from certain players and coaches and this may have not gotten to the point that it did. It’s odd Yorks coaches seemed to stay on their sideline but East Robertson’s entire sideline came out. It’s a littl odd how ER didn’t get a few more players tossed. I’m not a fan of either team but I watch a lot of games on the NFHS network

  34. I have been fortunate to know several good people that are coaches, some of them head coaches. Being HC absolutely puts a strain on everything in that person's life and it gets more taxing at the lower levels. Also should be said not everyone is cut out to be a Head Coach and that's OK, doesn't mean they aren't a great coach

  35. The cost I understand the fees are a joke when TSSAA claims they are " non-profit". You do get compensated for drive mileage even though it's not great. Players, fans, and coaches scream and critique at every level that's not an excuse you know that when you sign up. Fans pay to get in they should be allowed to voice their opinion and cheer on their team. Coaches have the right to "yell" they get paid to win or they lose their jobs... you will still wake up and go to your job the next day. Refs have seemed to develop rabbit ears now days. Facilities shouldn't alter how well you call a game. Also, you knew when signing up to officiate rather or not you job would allow to make contest or not. Respectfully
