They have 7-8 state championships.  They have played on "big" courts a few times.   Just sayin...

Who has 7-8 state championships? Clarkrange has 8, Pickett Co 5 and Jackson Co 4 in A and 4 in AA. I wasn't aware of any other teams with 7 or 8. Please post the team and years they won the state. (Later) I looked up state championships and Bradford has 6. Clarkange has 8 and has to be the favorite for #9. After Bradford,  Pickett Co 5, Jackson Co 4 (plus 4 in AA) and Gleason 3.

Greenfield 84   -   Crockett County 73

Greenfield played a complete game tonight, best game we have played this year. Crockett County is the best team we have played other than AAA Arlington. If we play like that we can win it all again.

Tess Darby looked like Miss Basketball tonight. 29 points and double digit rebounds. Edie Darby (10 pts) is back and a difference maker. Chloe Moore 27 pts and can score anytime she wants too. Reese Biggs (11 pts) and Caroline Crouse (11 pts) both played well.  (5 players with double digit points) and we got some depth from our young players that contributed as well.

Greenfield looked like a semi-final team last night against a tough Crocket Co team. Jackets shot the ball well. Moore finally started taking it to the iron in the 2nd half. I hate those short pull up jumpers. Biggs played well. Looked very confidant on her 3 point stroke. Young Darby played well but is not nearly 100%. I know she wants to play but not sure she's ready. I dont think she had a steal that tells you a lot.

Greenfield looked very good lastnight. They crash the boards hard. In my opinion Moore is hands down Ms Basketball the next 2 seasons if she can stay healthy. She is a special talent. It’s still early but looking like Gibson Co , Greenfield, and Clarkrange are the favorites at this point.

They would.be my top 3 with maybe Summertown in the top 5. Think they are talented but young. It will be interesting moving forward. GC plays Huntingdon tonight. Next week consists of at Dyersburg, Sikeston, MO, possibly Dyersburg and possibly Greenfield.

Definitely would love to see a second clash of GC-Greenfield........oh wait GC's Christmas Classic may be that chance.

Could happen next week. Think South Side is in Greenfield's bracket and Sikeston and Dyersburg in ours. Tough games but might happen.

You can’t really point the finger at the refs with a 37 point deficit. Pickett missed at least 10-15 free throws but I guess that was the refs fault too.

You’re a homer. And probably never played a game.  How many bad calls does it take to change a game?  You think Pickett hitting 10 more free throws would have changed anything?  Once Clarkrange is up 15 or 20, they can coast.   Clarkrange  two post players were in the offensive lane so long tonight, that the bottom of their shoes are yellow.  On one trip down floor, I counted 12 seconds. The girl never left the lane the entire trip, until she scored.   The starting post player should have fouled out with 4 minutes gone in the first quarter. And I lost count of illegal picks after 30.   So, to say enough said, is a bit over the top. Over the last forty years, I’ve seen many games there, none were fair

    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
