This may be the saddest post ever on coachT. You've posted 10-15 times a week on Lewis County's game threads bashing the coach. the program, the community, and their kids for years without relenting, then "your" program earns a trip to play in the state championship game and what do you do? You create a game thread...throw out one post to deflect your true intent for it...then use it to continue bashing Lewis County and the posters who have defended them against your unprovoked attack. It must really suck to be so enamored with rooting for someone to fail that you can't celebrate your own team's accomplishments when they succeed.

Don't bother to reply, I'm done with you and your pettishness.

I agree. I try to ignore her too. But I must admit it does my heart good to see her go all the way back several weeks and dig up old posts of mine. I love that I live rent free in her head. I will continue to ignore… but watch what she does. She can’t help it. Lol.

Pizzpatriot2,

At least your team has done something that Lewis Co. has never done and that is a chance to play for a state championship. Lewis Co. will never go to a state championship as long as the same coach that has been there 32 or 33 yrs. is gone. I know Oaklands coach never got any pointers from when he played for Lewis Co. under that clown, because he knows how to win championships.

Save this one, it won't age well at all.

Oh now Trader @tradertwo, I have never, not once, bashed the coach, the community or any of those kids! Not once! You are just mad because we are playing for the gold ball. It's not that you are mad that we are playing for it and your team is not, you are just mad that we made it this far! It must really suck to see us having this success. Maybe if you had pumped your favorite team up more and not degraded Page so much/as much/any then you would not feel as bad.

I see what you are doing here though. You want to take away from our team, our kids and our program and try to use me to do it. And, to use such powerful words such as "attach" "unprovoked" you make me feel as if I were Japan in WWII! But, to go back to Hohenwald and their program, maybe, just maybe, if they had played better teams throughout the years instead of all those Single A and non successful teams, their program would know what it is like to face tough competition and the hardships required to reach the state championship. What do you think? You should kinda know how that feels. Has Riverside ever made it to the finals? What about the state championship? I tell you what, when they do, you can speak with credibility. Until then, all of the negative things you have said about my program, about Page, about how bad we are, just know we have and are accomplishing something Riverside never has!

I'm actually rooting for Page to win it all...I've had a lot of respect for the program since they came to Lexington with a 5-5 record and knocked a 10-0 Tiger team out of the playoffs several years back, and displayed great sportsmanship on the field and in the stands. Since you mentioned all the negative things I've said about Page, and have deciphered that I'm a Riverside fan without help, I'll just have to give you a good old LOL and leave it at that!

#goriversidelions:lol:

PS. Yeah, I know that I said I wouldn't respond...sometimes it's just too good to pass up.

All the way to the state championship?

Is that gym warm down there in Hohenwald? It is going to be cold on us in Chattanooga but, I gotta tell you, it's nice to play in the semi-finals and win then play for the gold ball!

How basketball season going over there little brother? We cranked it up too but football is still going on over here. I know you wouldn't know about that but it's awesome to be playing this far into the season/playoffs.

Region Champions. Semi-final game. State championship game. How did Fairview do this year?

When is the last time Fairview made it to the semis? What about the state championship?

How is playing in the state championship a fraud?

Chattanooga bound!

Not even a top 10 huh? But yet, playing for the gold ball. How did Milan fair this year?

Richland beat page? Out by second round? Can you just imagine if we were in 2A???? When is the last time Hohenwald made it to the semis? Even better question, when was the last time they made it to the state championship?

Fraud huh? State championship game, fraud? Not like Fairview, however?

Round two? What about quarter finals, semi finals and then state championship? #### a doodle doo!

Typically, frauds do not make it to the state championship game, typically!

But playing for that gold ball, in 5A!

4th seed huh? Generous? What about state championship game?

Hmmm, beat who we needed to beat to play the best of that side of the state who beat the best who beat the best. It must really bother you to read about us while you are in that basketball gym.

We probably could if said jockstrap was going to Chattanooga to the State Championship game!

Paper Champion you say? Do paper champions make it to the State Championship game?

Toilet paper, paper champions, huh? All I have to say about that is, "State Championship"!

You say horrible? Is a State Championship game contender really horrible?

I want to call people out after my team won, but always seem to resist, just not worth it imo...

So about the game…. Any thoughts?

I think McNamara is the better of the two QB's. Very seldom do you see him make an "unwise" throw, very smart with the ball, very mobile. He won't just throw it up for grabs. Potts has the same mobility, but doesn't always make smart throws. That being said, Potts has FAR more supporting cast members and the defense is playing lights out right now. This will be the difference in the game. Powell by 2-3 scores!

I agree on McNamara being smart. Although, I watched the HC game and a few times when he was under pressure he tried to force the ball in, but HC couldn’t make the play. Soles and Nolen will get pressure, so I’m curious to see if that causes some issues

I can’t speak for people today, but going back about 30 years; we played at Powell Game 10 in what was the de facto region championship game. They were one of the dirtiest teams I ever went against. They took cheap shots at our star RB all night. We kept our composer and won, and went on to win the state championship.

What game was this?

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
