Week 7 Henry Co vs Springfield

I just got out the woods from Bigred88 chasing me around last night. Yall post like the OC did some great calling? Springfield shoud have been going into half down 7. Defense made that happen. Springfield got beat because of themselves. Blown coverages and a terrible 1st half was it. "Rising star OC" offense was iso and throw it deep. I hope Josh H from the Vols was there taking notes.

Still sticking to Mt Juliet/Henry semi finals. If Henry couldn't stop their run then I like Mt Juliets chances.

I thought our team speed got to Henry County in the second half as Henry tired.  #7 for y’all is an absolute BEAST.  He alone will keep you in every game

Crenshaw is very good but he wasn’t the best player on that field tonight. We can agree to disagree on that.

Who would you say was then? #14 was making plays on both sides of the ball. Devon doesn’t normally play Defense since he is the starting QB for Springfield.

Yes, unfortunately for him, he had to sit out last year. He’s easily a D1 running back, and he’s got a Tennessee commit in front of him making gaping holes.

Watching the Social Dweebs game video, and though both sides have rights to question some of the officiating calls, the illegal shift call on the Jackets that brought back a TD pass on the final drive of regulation was correct. 23 Flair the far WR for Springfield didn’t get set before the snap.

I thought it was the backs on the interior shift that didn’t set.  I wasn’t sure.  #23 has a big upside

I caught that as well, if he got set at all it was just a split second before the snap...

Most of our speed was injured on the sideline by then.

Blown coverages? Two of their scores came on such. If you want to play devil’s advocate you’re going to lose, because I promise you I have the horns to win this game. Two plays with a 6’2” 235 lb QB is what kept the game close.

That young man looked to be the heart of the defense. I appreciate seeing young men step up and play like he does

Kid could flat out play. I don’t care what his size is. He could play on my team anytime

    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
