Happy Thanksgiving coacht. We at cland are thankful for a field to play on, the buildings we get dressed in, the wonderful places to eat in town, and the big healthy teenagers who play this game. There are many out there who have nothing. Let us count our blessings this morning

Happy Thanksgiving to all!! Today is a very special day if you are involved in High School Football in the state of Tennessee. Very few players, coaches and other team personal get to experience having a practice on Thanksgiving Day and it is special. To each person involved CHERISH this day being together with your team. Of course tomorrow night will be special, but having practice today means something too. If your practicing today you are part of a team that has already overcome some adversity as you are only one of four teams in the entire state that get this opportunity. Do not take this for granted!! Enjoy being together today as very few people that have been involved in high school football have this opportunity. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Rebel fans…stay in our lane and let’s not concern ourself with what happened at Peabody. Regardless of what happened, it is not cool to speculate on who, what, why, and what should or should not happen. Not our business. There is a huge ballgame to play and our players need to be focused on the task at hand.

That was a good read. No one should ever apologize for nice things if they work hard to obtain them. You're fortunate to have those kinds of boosters. In the end, it's the love of the game that puts us on the field together. After the whistle blows, I doubt anyone from south Pitt will be thinking about clands dirty mismatched uniforms.

The world moves from Halloween straight to Christmas these days, forgetting this great day of giving thanks. Govt may have tried to "cancel Thanksgiving" but truly we are the only ones capable of doing that...So, stop, reflect, look around today and be thankful, for The Lord is Good! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

As far as I know the audio only will be available on Youtube. The local radio station 93.9 the duck will let you listen on their station online also. But the only TV broadcast will be on our local electric, internet and cable provider Tullahoma Utilities Authority on channel 23. Unless there is something else I have missed. My TV 30 from Nashville carried our game last week I guess they wanted a 6A game this week. If I find out any other way I will post here ASAP.

As a rebel fan I really don't care what happened at a basketball game ...lol it's Thanksgiving and we are still playing football one of the biggest most anticipated game of the year... I really hate this got brought up for what ? Pointless ... really thought we was going to make it to game day without all that but there's always one . Anyway this week has been so long it's almost time folks dress warm and better there early if u want a seat .. rebel up!!!

Alcoa will win this game and win state. Last year it was their defense that was so great. Defense is still good but not what it was last season. Alcoa is great this year because of their offense. Caden Buckles is a great quarterback. Alcoa's Oline is dominant also.

Not here to disrespect but we are all aware that on occasion young men are taught that their physical abilities are more important than their moral character. I want to see both teams at full strength and see who is the better team. If one of the players were to miss for either side there would always be the what if’s tied to this game. I also know as much as I am excited for this game there has to be a moral foundation that I abide by regardless of the situation. Just know that’s not the same for everyone and I’m not here to convince you of my side either.

I believe 3 Carter County schools making and hosting the semifinals is an awesome story. I think it'd be great to watch all 3 games same day.

Played against that 97 Trousdale Co team, down 21-8 at half, driving down the field after halftime past the 50. Our qb keeps it for about 10-15 yard gain, Scruggs hits him from behind and forces a fumble. Game over after that. I still think that was the 2nd best team in Tennessee high school football that year behind Riverdale. Man they were good, was able to get to know a few of them outside of football, even better people. Pulling for those Yellow Jackets Friday night. I have family playing on that team.

True. I've heard of Famlies sell their home, and buy a house in Alcoa, so their son could play football. Build a winning program and they will come.

I have some awesome friends up on Heaton Creek Rd and others in RN Mtn. I always enjoy my ride up there. Such a beautiful area. Coalfield was a tall task and this will be just as tall, maybe a little taller. I listened to the Highlanders coach at the beginning of this season, and I was impressed. I remember saying to myself he’s gonna have them kids peaking at the right time. Most of us know Cloudland is the underdog, but they’ve been plenty of underdogs move on to the next level. I’ll be pulling for you. Lay it all on the line and leave no (if’s) or (buts) behind.

You can be the judge of this yourself if you watch last Friday's live feed. We ran for over 350 yards on coalfield's d. Birchfield is great but he didn't get 2600 yards by himself. I know Gordy shut coalfield out but the jackets were not a physical offensive team. I know if we played Gordy, it would be a nail biter because of matchups. If you get a big lead, you'll still have to play your first d til the end because Birchfield will be out there grinding til the bitter end

No problem. This year is in memory of our good friend @FridayMainEvent. Yeah, I realized yall had moved up and that was the reason I didn't tag any of the other Waverly folks that played last year. Hopefully, with the upcoming enrollment count (next Sept ?) yall will able to slide back down amongst us the following year.
