Not for Rankin. Tyler "T Rob" Robinson was a great TE and NEVER got the ball thrown to him under Rankin. Went on to Kentucky as a starting TE in the SEC. Wasted his talents at Alcoa...........sigh. Eli will be Used!

I know GCA has to have a "sponsor" to pay Diamond Clear to broadcast our football games. I don't believe any of that money ever went to the school or that we ever charged that company a fee to broadcast the games, home or away. I know that the school never charged the radio station to broadcast games. The audacity of the OSSD to think that a radio or stream would keep people away from the games is absurd. I've never heard anybody say "Should we go to the game or watch it on the iPad?" Unless its pouring down the rain, there's no decision to make for 95% of the fans. They're going to the game. What they should've agreed to is to have ads they can run for different activities for the school and actually get some benefit out of the broadcast instead of charging them pennies (which is really what $100/game is)! I stand with you on this one, bud!

The weather will be PERFECT and they are planning for an Alumni Tailgate for Munford and Covington with a DJ, food trucks and vendors during pregame. I hear they are expecting 5000-7000 people, so get there early for descent parking. 1 MORE DAY!

Yeah best thing for Rhea is don’t get anyone hurt. Probably the most important game outside the playoffs is in 2 weeks with McMinn. I know we are going to show up Friday but this game really doesn’t have a whole lot of meaning. Run the ball, run the clock and get ready for McMinn. I am looking forward to seeing the new unis and the upgrades to the stadium in person. Seen pictures and it looks like they have done a great job.

Heritage has been a train wreck since 1989. For 33 years the best three teams went 7-4,5-5 and 5-6 crowded around with five 0-10 teams and ten going 1-9. If I had been the A.D. and all those boys quit the football team like they did three years ago on Hammontree I would have cancelled the program and took forfeits as to have a bunch of punks all get together and quit. I would also made sure that high school yearbook had a big color picture of the team with everyone that quits face whited out but their name still at the bottom of the page so all the quitters would never be forgotten. Once a quitter always a quitter and that's what's wrong with society now.

I just find it interesting if he was so brilliant, why other colleges or even high schools were not fighting for him. I'm not saying it's not a decent offense, however, it was in place in the JUCO level. It will not work everywhere, at every school, with every quarterback and in this case, with Heritage's defense. If you look at his stint at UT and dig into it, he was behind a desk and only moved to the field for a short time before Pruitt's departure. Look, I'm an old guy, I get it that things have changed, and I understand the game has evolved, but the basis is still the same. You can slap a pretty bow on something, walk around with your chest poked out claiming this and that, but, if you aren't realistic, once the smoke recedes and the dust settles, you're in trouble. I truly worry about these kids. And from what I've heard, some have already hung up their cleats.

I can't speak for LA but they will play anybody. They played Oakland last year to a close game. They have Thompson on the schedule this year who is the defending 3 time champs in Alabama 7A in a few weeks...ranked #19 in the country I believe. I would guess it is enrollment numbers. Interesting note that 2 of the best teams in D2 are in that class.

ADS1, I think you are right. I hate to say it but it may get ugly quick. The O-line is young and inexperienced going against one of the best defensive coaches in East Tennessee and the Eagle defense is also young and inexperienced all that with all of Alcoa’s horses could spell big trouble for Rhea. Martin would have to have a BIG night for the Eagles to even stay in this one. I really hope I am wrong….. Anyway GO EAGLES!!!

That’s what I’ve always said. His West teams gave Maryville very stiff competition. Granted, those teams were very talented, but we have plenty of talent here in OR to go around too. People get fooled by his time at Cleveland, but that was just a crappy situation all around, and it’s not like any other coach that has coached there since Monroe left has really tore it up by any means either. Cleveland is a tough place to succeed it seems. I mean, look what he did at Halls, with a lot less talent than he’s gonna have at his disposal at OR. They came within a hair of beating Powell last year, and were in just about every game they lost.

One of them is even masquerading as the NFHS website. The NFHS network is not broadcasting this game as TCA is not a NFHS member school. Worthy Road Studios has the contract for TCA video streams. Any other video stream site is FAKE NEWS. They are trying to get your personal information. The Adamsville at TVA game on Friday will be available on the TCA Facebook page. TCA and A'ville have definitely had some wars over the past decade, and this one probably won't be much different. Both teams will be anxious to get off on the right foot after being a little behind what they have been used to, and 0-1 isn't in either's plans. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a little breeze in the air when the TCA bus rolls in...just enough to shake the bushes over toward the visitors sideline a 'lil bit.
