This is what I really like about the last few years in college football.I would get so mad when the Rose ,Sugar, and Orange bowls would have those crap matchups and the biased media and coaches would then pick two or three national champs.Love to see them extend it to eight teams. You take last year and Alabama compared to 25 years ago in the same situation. They would have been playing a crap bowl  game for  pride. If they had gone to Eight teams, Georgia wouldn't have been penalized this year for the SEC championship loss. This thread is much like 25 years ago and voting.Oakland would have gotten the srews because of their loss to Maryville earlier.Cpa ,Alcoa and Greeneville would have taken a hit for not destroying 100% of their opponents. If any of these top 10 teams played a perfect game and forced a few turnovers,PLUS maybe a few more factors. There is no doubt they could run any other team off the field.Oakland is without question one of the best teams I seen this weekend and without question the perfect example of what I'm saying.

But....  but....   but Oakland runs some old 1950's outdated offense, how can they really be the best?   I thought you had to line up like the GB Packers on every down to look good win.

Just kidding Batman, I agree that Oakland deserves the top spot.

Greeneville best team in the state this year. For all classifications.

Whatever happens in the future, this Greeneville team was very special. We all want to be homers and say our team could beat yours .No doubt you can pick several teams across the state and if there was an extra game this weekend and your high school had to play them,it would make a lot of folks nervous.I think Greeneville with their strength program,D1 athletes and super coaching staff this year would be one of them without question.

No doubt Greenville is good. I’d love to see the 2 of them play.

Agree. Murvil (and alco for that matter) often have a happy d time with scheduling. As bad as greanville beats people, it’s probably not easy for them either. Maybe those teams could work out a regular season game.

Thanks for posting this.

However, I think Greeneville would best Alcoa this year.

It all depends on the league one must participate in during the regular season.  There are several teams that are good enough to go undefeated during the regular season depending on the regular season schedule and amount of travel required and then get ready for the playoffs.  However very few if any would be able to play the D2AAA schedule of Brentwood Academy and then enter the playoffs and win it all without one single loss.  Most of this is due to the required travel and the fact that most all teams have good coaching staffs and facilities. Like I have said before several teams could step up and play BA a close game and possibly win but would they have the depth to play two or three good teams and then beat BA?
