  1. Past hour
  2. I wasn't super impressed with Coalfield this past weekend. Still a solid team for A ball, but I'd say UH has the best team in the East. They run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago down at Clinton.
  3. I am not aware of any legal precedents in the where the plaintiff in this case would or has won. If so, what are they? This player's family is going to spend the cost of college tuition x4 in legal fees if it ever even makes it to court IMO.
  4. Today
  5. Jackson cannot host a state track meet
  6. Pretty arrogant and dumb considering it was on East's home turf where their 7 on 7 took place.
  7. https://www.facebook.com/share/pWwFk7kEr4QRURwz/?mibextid=WC7FNe This has to be one of the best!
  8. Understand the young thing. I was one of those. Barely 17 when I graduated from high school and started college. But redshirting for athletic purposes isn't doing them any favors, in my opinion. Life isn't always going to be fair.
  9. The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball. Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
  10. Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well. I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
  11. Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected

  13. Quick update on Jacob - Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits. His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends. He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys). He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning. His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab. Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits. He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign. Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing. I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back. He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations. I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone. If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines. Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN 37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far. Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him. They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there. All that could not happen without you all. Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home. Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle. LOL

  15. Science Hill has had a lot of athletes over the years as well. I totally agree with you
  16. You do know that on a young, down season we only lost to Dyersburg in the playoffs by less than a touchdown?! You act like those two teams are unbeatable and way above our skill level

  21. Thoughts on the new boys basketball coach at CCHS? His record looks below average, but I'm glad they went out of the county for a hire. A lot of successful coaches across town have been from out town so maybe that will get us on track.
