I have been reading everyone's comments this week about this game. I have been waiting to add my comments because I would like to see AC win and I know the Cyclones fans would not like it, so please don't take it personal. I would like to see another match up between AC and Big Greene and see what kind of excuses AC comes up with this time. But my gut has been saying the Cyclones will win and pull off the upset. The Cyclones are well coached and they have been playing all year with a chip on their shoulder and that grit that they lacked last year. Also an advantage the Cyclones have this year that they didn't have last year going into this game is their QB Everett. I gotta go with what my guts says. *Cyclones 35 AC 34* Eitherway this should be an awesome game. Prove me wrong AC and then you can come back on here and tell me that I must have ate some bad crow for my gut to be leaning toward the Cyclones to win. And if you Cyclones do pull off the win then you can get on here and give me ear full for wanting AC to win. Both are great teams and derserving to be in the 2nd round. You must not see much game film. Yes, Greeneville is know to throw the bubble screen from time to time. However, they can also chuck it down field. And they do it quite often. Not as much as last year, Goddard and Hite just simply aren't as fast as Crawford was, but they still have some pretty deep balls on a game to game basis.

I'll be the middle man on the deal, and split the money 50/50 for my services....

Hopefully this debate can be settle in springfield next week if central and the jackets win tomorrow night. I am pulling for central

I saw the game too and what I saw was an elite athlete that went through double and triple teams to refuse to let his team lose. Sometimes I think even Springfield fans don't know how lucky they are to have 23. Noone has given MC problems like that kid did, not Portlands QB, not Kenwoods RB, not Sycamores RB who had a crazy amount of yards this year. None of them are close to 23. He is legit, south side will find out tomorrow.

yes they do MM, they understand ive got a long hard 4 more weeks of filming a championship football team so they want me to be used to being up late so i wont fall asleep late next friday night on my way back home to greeneville after having to walk up and down the field so many times following greeneville offense all night...haha

Agreed, it is an easy out when you say "we would have BUT we were with our #2" or "we dominated UNTIL we HAD TO go with our #2". Not to be callous, but injuries happen in every sport. With teams from schools with smaller enrollments, losing a starter hurts. But, at the end of the day if a team prepares and schemes well on either side of the football to deal with an area of strength or and area to exploit, preparation shows.

Truth Waverly didn't make a excuse when r QB got hurt during the game last year. CA fans seem to think a 13 point lead was a beat down. No telling what coulda happened last year if we didn't lose him . But no matter what we got out played and coached last year

From my perspective, most CA fans are saying "if we play good, we can win" and most Waverly fans have already moved to the next round because this one is already over. So, assuming CA loses, I dont think they would be that suprised, just know they didnt play great. On the other hand, if Waverly loses there may be some mattresses burned in the streets.

35-31 EHS. AC scores early and EHS mounts a comeback with the speed of their run game. I feel Witten can make better adjustments and out coach AC. This game won't be decided until the 2nd half.

Sucks for the kids on the team who didn't do anything wrong, but how does the TSSAA not penalize them for playing kids that were supposed to be ineligible when they've penalized other programs for things much less serious than this? Were they just on the team or did they actually play in the varsity games?

I would hate to see this other kids get punished especially if the administration was really not aware that they were not supposed to be in a regular school. However If i were the coach or administration I would not have let them on the team to start with. Made their own beds.

We can pick out certain games from the schedules of all these teams, for example what happen to Lake County against Dresden Greenfield against Hollow Rock Bruceton Greenfield against South Fulton Are is it because 1A football in the area is very weak and the only decent team is Huntingdon and everyone else is mediocre at best. Lake County your are above most teams up the way but I still have ???? best win is a Gibson County win who lost in the first round of the playoffs

Ooltewah can beat Farragut, but they will have to play great and Farragut will have to play a subpar game like they did against Bearden IMO. If Farragut plays its best, then they will win solidly no matter what the Owls do.

I said last night as a former memphian...If prep makes it to the 3rd 4th round that’s a huge accomplishment in their 2nd year and single A had best watch out! I’m just trying to figure prep out? In 3 games I have not been impressed? Guess we’ll see soon

Usually a small school in Memphis have little or no chance in going deep in the playoffs for the fact that all of the private schools and larger public schools recruit these kids and convince them to attend their school. Therefore only a handful of teams in the area are always good. This Friday you will see a different small school team. Good Luck

Lol our 2nd and 3rd string have had more playing time this season than the starters in a 3 week stretch our starting offense ran a total of 15 plays

I think MJ would greatly benefit by reaching out to either a Murfreesboro team or a D2 team for a tough regular season game . I Love Maryville Playing Oakland and Alcoa early in the season and so what if we take an early loss if we win when it counts . MJ has definitely been the cream of the crop in their area the last few years , I just think playing a higher level schedule makes your team rise to a higher level also . Just a thought , nice to see ya back .

Wow! I knew he had a lot of passing tds, but I didn’t think that many. Also didn’t realize his overall stats were that good. That just goes to show that #23 isn’t all the Jackets have. 23 is a special player, no doubt. I don’t think his stats would be what they are this year without #32 and vice versa. They are a dynamic duo for sure. They, and the whole team, feed off each other.

And everything you just said is based on the 1 game you watched which was Friday night which means everything you just said doesn’t mean ####. All of you haters can talk #### but it means nothing because you know nothing other than what you have seen when either you watched your team play Waverly “Salem” or the fact that you have not seen Waverly play at all this season and basing your mouth vomit off last year and scores of games common opponents whatever BS you hear “all of CA fans” All I can say is it’s going to be a ball game come Friday night. No one knows how it’s going to go, just that some people truly know what Waverly is capable of, and some people know what CA is capable of. We Waverly fans don’t get on here to hype up or team or to make it sound like our team is the best team in the state because they are not. We are on here to give our view of our team based on what we have seen, and how our team will match up with other teams, based on what we know. We’re not just some random fans that get on here and run our mouth. All of us Waverly posters are grown men who have watched Waverly play for decades. We know our teams inside and out. We support our team every way possible. We understand our team and what they are capable of. We believe in our team, just like all of you do about your team “minus General”. We are making fair assessments based on how our team has played all year. We know our strengths and our weaknesses. We know what we’re capable of and what we’re not. There is a reason Gavin Stanfield won Mr Football last year, there is a reason JD Dixon is a candidate this year. One game doesn’t define a team. A game can go either way. I got Wavo rolling, those boys kind of got a chip on their shoulder after last year. I expect them to play the best they have all year and come out firing hot honestly. I’m thinking a score of like 48-28. Wavo will score 40+ on whoever they play from this point on.
