To our good neighbors in Waverly. Like you all, this was one football game we in Fairview do look forward to. Whether it be the heart crushing OT loss or the last second win, we love this football game as much as you do. We’re all in uncharted waters these days. As bad as we miss the Friday Night Lights in Fairview, I think we all appreciate the efforts of keeping the players, parents and grandparents safe and healthy during these times. I think I can say as a tiny part of Yellow Jacket Nation...we apologize. But, in the grand scheme of things currently, I think we all agree that the pigskin bouncing around on the gridiron is minimal compared to health. We, like you, hope this game is rescheduled. But, if not, you can bet Yellow Jacket Nation will be Tiger fans for the rest of your season. Until then, let’s all keep our fingers crossed and pray for each other during this mess.

The thing that bothered me the most was the team was flat. They looked exhausted. They looked slow and out of shape. They looked disinterested. After the game some, not all, were laughing and joking. It didn't seem to bother them that they lost, to Farragut of all teams. I know a team can't be "up" every single week. But this was OR vs Farragut! Better get to work and improve this week or they will get boat raced at West. Running Clock. 1st time since Stanton era.

You’re right. Farragut ran the ball pretty well, but our run defense did enough to win the game so long as we contain #20, and.....we didn’t. Like you said, the guy singlehandedly beat OR last night. I’m never one to call out coaches, but that was one of the most embarrassing coaching jobs I’ve seen by our staff on a lot of fronts. I’m speechless as to how we never made adjustments on defense. They are to blame for a lot of this by continuously putting our kids in bad situations repetitively, especially #17. It was obvious that they were picking on him and trying to purposely exploit him last night in coverage, and the coaches (as I’ve said till I’m blue in the face) never adjusted. All I can say is...........WOW.

Brentwood is just that good, their game next week against Ravenwood will tell a lot because that team is loaded with talent. Whoever wins that game will be a bitter sweet prophecy, because it will be extremely hard for either of them to beat the other twice, I think there is a good chance they meet again in the playoffs. HC will be fine, Gallatin will be a brawl but I dont see HC losing any other game in the regular season...

While I should be getting ready to go to this game we have unfortunately been given a Covid win due to a player(s) contracting the virus. Whether it happened last week or this week doesn’t matter. Pray for the kid(s) whom tested positive. On another note, I sure hope nothing else comes from this as someone posted on here and seems to be adamant they know more than the kinfolk you the road seem to know. They have been wrong up the road before when coaches hid the truth, then it later came out. I hope it’s not the case again. Also, what if we and Jasper each cancel a non-region game down the road so that we could reschedule this game? Hypothetically, per @piratetom, we could cancel Meigs and Jasper could cancel Walker Valley. Then we play Jasper that week, and Meigs plays Walker Valley. It might result in a loss for us and Jasper, but a loss would be worth having a big money game at home.

Dream on man. Based on last night, I would predict a West victory but next Thursday isn't last night and West will not put a running clock on OR. OR is more likely to beat West than West putting a running clock on OR. Go ahead and mark that down man.

With the West game less than a week away, Powell is the last thing on my mind. Powell is six weeks away and they aren't even on the radar. It has more to do with OR than does anyone OR plays. For starters, Kendall Jackson needs to play. Since he has an offer from Tennessee, he must be our best player (name a team on the OR schedule who's best player hasn't played since week two) and he hasn't played a single play in two games. The OR secondary must play better (easier said than done). OR must get more pressure on the QB. OR must be able to run the ball (Jackson's presence on the field will help this a lot). OR must be able to kick extra points. Take care of all of this and OR is a completely different team, and much of it, if not all, can be accomplished.

People in Maryville can't even spell "Down Year". This is the best coaching staff top to bottom that DB has ever had in my opinion. But they have to shore up the coaching in the little leagues to get rid of all those silly mistakes. It's to late to coach bad habbits out of a player when he gets up to varsity. Pound for pound, I have to go with Basin's Sabastian Baliles. I haven't got to see any of the SP backs but i'm hearing good things about them.
