Coach would not let them. It wasn’t because he wanted them to appear unsportsmanlike. He wanted to protect them against anything happening that would reflect worse on us than not shaking their hand. Emotions were running high. I have a good feeling more was said and done on that field than any of us spectators could know. So Coach told them they were going to stay on the field until Dresden got on their bus and left. If an all out brawl happened on the field, it wouldn’t just be Dresden’s name that was run through the mud, Peabody’s would too.

all trash talking aside and all bull hockey aside mavs....ive seen every Greeneville game except union and ive seen 2 AC games on line and based on what ive seen by both teams and based on what i consider to be general common football sense, IF and that's a BIG IF, considering the way yall are playing, IF you all get by Betsy in round 2, The score this year will most likely be 21-0 in the first qtr again....with the Devils ahead and we will put our feet on all 22 ...well, 23, cause ballard is light years ahead of Gillidiot as a coach....of AC's throats and win this game by atleast.....yes ATLEAST 4 touchdowns. sure, im clearly biased, as you are, but man, seriously, the game last year was a fluke.....that you guys even lead that game, considering it was ACTUALLY 6-0 devils after play one, before the refs ripped us of that scoop and score by Kershaw. If we took a poll of 100 HS football fans/media or even farm animals, atleast 99 of them would say Greeneville destroys AC. Ofcourse alot can change between now and then, so I am going to try my best stick to the whole "one game at a time" theory.......hope to see you in NOV.

In a game where CPA couldn’t be stopped through the air and Hillsboro looked overwhelmed minus their 1st drive on offense CPA executed well and got revenge on the Burros 43-18

BG24 surely you are not proud of how your coach acted and how he allowed your players to act. If you are then you are either the coach or close kin to him. No true fan would want there program to be represented like this.

Yea, the Barney Fife Chief ran up and got in his face and threaten to arrest him for telling the coach from HC he was an idiot for offering to play the Thursday before the CA game. He also threatened to arrest a LC parent after a HC player cussed the parent after the game. I hope the people of Centerville limits him to one bullet. Be careful where you get your information from.

I agree 100%, we know all to well to never take WS lightly regardless of what their records is. Year in and year out they play one of the toughest schedules in TN. I was just using them as an example for the rebel who was trying to place too much value in a regional title

The old Duck River Valley Conference Lynchburg, Chapel Hill , Spring Hill, Cornersville, St. Andrews, Huntland, Flintville, and Blanche were some of those teams that Woodbury use to play. Use to always play Watertown also.

Honestly the refs were bad both ways. While some of the PI calls were good calls, a couple of them weren't, especially the ones on my son (#7). Lol

I miss you guys in D1... If we are talking imaginary league football, I’d love see a 4 team championship series this year with Alcoa, Greeneville, Lausanne, and CPA. I’m not claiming that CPA would finish above #4, but I imagine the games would be great to watch.

Hate to break the news to you, it is a neutral site game. Same site as last year.We have an obligation to make the return trip. But, that is neither here nor there. My main point is there seemed to be little to no reason why the game could not have been completed today or tomorrow, as you said. Hickman County was the side unwilling to make the most logical choice, but logic often eludes the rivals to the north.

Ok, a lot of strange things posted here in the last little while. First PBrown, I’m not sure why you quoted me for that particular post but I agree with what you said. I don’t think I’ve brought classification up on this forum but I agree with what you said. I certainly don’t try to make any excuses using it in regards to the loss to YAI. In fact this one was pretty close to my prediction from the first page or two of this post. I thought we had a chance and we were either leading or were within a score until middle of the 4th so we were in it. I don’t like losing to anyone but it’s not nearly as tough to take when it’s a good solid team that beats you. Again, for the 3rd time, congratulations to YAI on a good win. Second, I don’t know where all the Alcoa talk is coming from? I haven’t saw anyone from YAI mention thinking they’re tornado killers or anything. Lastly all the talk about us not getting your best game, maybe not, the same could be said for our play as well. I will agree with the post that said we would see how lucky we were when we watch the film. I disagree with the posters meaning though. I think as poorly as we executed at times we were quite lucky to have not given up more than we did. You claim we didn’t see your best, I don’t feel you saw our best. Fact is each team had 48 minutes to line up and give the best they have. That’s what both did, gave the best they had that night and we got the results we saw at the final buzzer. The defining characteristic between a good and a great team often times is the ability to perform consistently at a high level every week. I think both teams fell short of their best at times last night, just like both did perform well at other times. That’s the nature of the thing.

When rw87 starts talking about OR refusing to play Maryville, I just say unless she talked to Gaddis, she doesn't really know what she's talking about. And besides, maybe they don't have the same open date as Maryville, or maybe they both needed a home game....it doesn't have to be because Gaddis doesn't want to play them, as she implied. And all of you OR fans with blind loyalty to her...just read her last post...she took a shot at OR...OUR HOMETOWN TEAM! So y'all can have her...keep defending her, but not me. The smart alec "scrimmage comment" did it for me. Two years ago the scrimmage was either tied or a touchdown difference. Scrimmages aren't like games at all. If you looked at our two scimmages this year, you'd expect OR to be 1-5, not 5-1. And why does she spend so much time on the OR thread? I just checked the Maryville thread and guess what...not a single OR fan posted on it. She needs to get a life, get Coach Hunt to give her Gaddis's phone number, and give him a call and find out the story of why they don't play. Until then, focus on her own team that she apparently knows so much about, that she qualifies as a coach. And for the record, I'm not asking her any direct questions so there's no need for the dramatic "I answer to no man" comment. SM H

I’m gonna tell you all right now cause I call it how I see it... Gibson County may be lucky to see the end zone once. I’m telling you this cause I honestly believe with all of my heart that Peabody cannot & will not be beat by anyone in 2A this year. That is if they can, if at all possible, stay as healthy as they can. I look at everything from a lawyers type of perspective. I’ve done a lot of assessing of 2A football in West TN & I am telling you all right now, Peabody isn’t getting beat. This team is averaging scoring 57 points per game & only giving up an average of 7 points. They have also managed to be the only team to score a single point on their home field all year long. I firmly believe that Peabody will bring home their 2nd gold ball in 4 years back to Trenton this year.

You post sounds very emotional and typical of someone who really doesn't know or understand whats happening at all and who take high school football way to personal Way to be "that guy" . I agree with you on one thing. The WR from last year was very good and is definitely missed. The sophomore #10 is gonna be good but he needs another year. 15-0 was not gonna happen without 8 at qb and it still might not have happened. Gotta remember TC been playing with a fullback at QB all year and still is 2 plays from being undefeated.

Yea I can see it for sure, if we win tomorrow that’s going to put a lot of momentum in going the right way. The recruits that will be there tomorrow are insane.

To all the Trenton fans I'm here saying the fan base is not happy nor condoning this stuff. If you could have came to our side you would have heard our disgust for this nonsense. I hope all the best for your team going forward this year. Go get that gold ball.

Lewis County was driving down the field 0 to 0. The weather was good enough to play when Hickman County refused to play Lewis County wanted to finish the game but Hickman didn't. But when kids from Hickman stand in the middle of the field and wave bye to Lewis boys as they walk back to the locker room. That is pure CLASSLESS BUT TYPICAL FROM HICKMAN COUNTY

Milan is not a bad team. 3 losses to undefeated teams in Peabody, Covington and the Stanks. We are better than North Side just shot ourselves in the foot too many times. We are a young team with talent. Most of the talent is in the sophomore class. We are learning and growing and will get better. Good job Stanks. (Think I just threw up in my mouth a little).

I did not see or hear this game. The Stanks won as I predicted they would at the beginning of the thread. No excuses from me. You were clearly the better team. I will say that some of the people that I know were at the game said the stench was horrid when the Stanks entered the stadium. Please shower be fore you come next time.

Still games like this show you more than running sprints up and down the field. It also looked like our backs kept running wide if some of the holes.

Not downing Oneida at all. Just heard all week that you must've seen the Harriman game every time someone said York was better. All I'm saying is so far anyway, you guys were York's Harriman game. We still won. Take away the first drive and York stunk the entire 1st half, absolutely dominated the 2nd half.... And without the 2 fumbles almost assuredly wins by at least 18 probably more, on the road in a very tough environment. You got a tough, hard nosed team but if they couldn't beat the Dragons tonight they were never going to.

The 1967 team was really good and had the leading scorer in the state Tom Dillard at tailback. The 1969 team was ranked as high as number two in the state and the 1970 team only gave up 90 points with four shutouts. The 1973 team was I think 7-3 and the 1974 bunch was 10-0. From 1975- 1978 four really good teams in a row and then the next year they went from Class A to AA and that was it. The 1985 bunch went to a bowl game and the 1995 and the 2009 to the playoffs
