  1. Just let it go "J". They'll never see the light. We're all terrified of playing Cookeville and it's every schools fault but theirs. Sarcasm* A couple of these CHS fans remind of a couple of mouthy Georgia Bulldog football fans i know. The only difference is Georgia actually has the hardware of back to back nattys.

  2. Bradley Central is a great story. The Bears have had a great season. No true BC fan is over-confident or cocky. Oakland is a proven Champion and BC fans, Coaches and our team has the utmost respect for the Patriots. We are proud of our guys and pulling for #12 to be healthy to give our team the best opportunity to win. The Bears will play hard and I believe it will be a very competitive game. I agree with another poster who mentioned some of the others guys…(the non- DI talents) those guys (both teams) work extremely hard and don’t get any press, but both Coaching staffs and fan bases realize the great value they provide to their respective teams. Much respect for the jobs these 2 teams and Coaches have done to make this game a reality.. this conversation (BC vs. Oakland) has been ongoing since the first poll came out in week 1.

  3. I’m an upperman fan and even I know our schedule was not tough this year. Hardest game was macon county. Lebanon is 6a but they were not any good this year, Fayetteville is usually good but was bad. In the future we need to start making a schedule like Greenville elizabethton and Anderson county does. Anderson county’s record was not that great but they were 100% battle tested going into Greeneville last week. Upperman hasn’t played a team on Greenevilles level yet.

  4. Funny. Imagine White County being mad because Monterey wouldn't play us. Of course it's White County's fault we aren't playing Cookeville. It's Uppermans fault they aren't playing Cookeville. It has nothing AT ALL to do with Cookeville. Smirks*

  6. I believe we will bring a good size crowd. It's the semifinals and we travel well at this point in the season. I was hoping that Stone Cold man would get a couple pep buses to take along up there. I could have driven one.

  7. Salty, is that you? Both are good teams. One will go home without any hardware unfortunately. Maybe not but I'll be the judge of that. Back to the East side, Salty.

  8. Same to you bud. I think our boys played hard. We didn’t play clean as evidenced by the two turnovers. I kinda think our playcalling on offense was handcuffed due to injury and we definitely have zero semblance of a hurry up. The usage of the clock was a major stumbling block. The major issue I had with coaching was in particular the malfeasance of never having a safety (or two) back with a play coming you know they are going to go to the end zone such as the last play before half. We also imo don’t do a good job of teaching technique to our dbs, such as how to line up to take away those slants. Easy to coach on a message board. Lol. We just got beat by a better team that night. Hope the Panthers bring home the gold!

  9. On any given day one team can beat another. That is why we show up. Coaches and players work all year and 2.5 hours can make it worth it, or a bust. Good luck to all still playing! Enjoy turkey day!

  12. I don’t believe that any team needs any extra motivation for a state semifinal but Big K not being named a Mr. Football Finalist is going to give the entire team a chip on their shoulder Friday night in Nashville.

  15. I had trouble with York/ER and Dresden/McKenzie. I think that both are going to be two of the best matchups in the whole playoffs.

  17. Nice to hear team work in this message, hats off to both these teams that have both proven themselves to be worthy to be where they are this time of year! I know they are D1 players on both sides, but being neutral here, I want to give a shout out to the water boys & girls, trainers, mgrs that make EVERY Friday night special & doable for these young men to play this great game they so love! Hats off to all the support staff on both sides!!!!!

  18. There is a lot of passionate fans on here. That what’s so fun with high school football. Greeneville has a great program if upperman wants to get the point were Greeneville, Elizabethan, Alcoa and ect. You have to beat them and if you don’t play them you can’t get to that point. Upperman will find were they our at Friday and just go from there.

  19. I've been involved in my share of stupid arguments on the internet but this is one of the dumbest. I planned to log in and give the MC posters some grief after the game but got distracted by trolling and putting down a great player and better person and my focus shifted. I didn't have a dog in the hunt but I have zero tolerance of low IQ adults taking shots at a kid who has more talent in his injured leg than they do in their whole body. Did Brock Purdy's elbow injury at the beginning of the NFC championship game affect the outcome? Does anyone in Philadelphia care that the injury was mentioned after the game?

  22. Yes we have a legit chance. In the first game, we dropped two give me TD's, possibly a 3rd, and our starting TE/LB and RB/LB did not play. I am not saying those factors would have made a difference, but it sure did not help. Dresden is a good football team. I take nothing away from them. They have earned it. But with that being said, so have we. The job Comer has did with preparing our team for this exact moment is amazing. Honestly, probably the best coaching job I have seen him do his entire tenure at McKenzie. Like I said in the Moore Co post last week, our guys will be prepared, and will play to the best of their ability. If when the dust settles, I will tip my hat to Dresden if that is the case, or I will book a hotel room. Either way, this game is going to be epic! Gates open at 5:30. Go Rebels!

  24. I totally agree on the Cummings situation, that could not possibly have been handled any worse. But I am a life long Oak Ridge fan with very close ties to West High and their football program.

  25. fandom, do you remember posting this? "Clinton wins this in a tight one. West struggled to get out of their on way on Sat. Not sure that can be fixed in a weeks time. The Dragon’s put some points on the board and I expect more of the same this week." Oops! That one didn't age well. West had 3 picks in the game and were up 24-0 after 4 offensive plays. Just curious, who is your team?

  26. Who have they played that has been a threat to throw the ball besides a beat to death backfield Powell team? Nobody.

  28. What kind of mess is this Towner man? Are you trying to make that Wizzard man real mad by booking tickets to the finals already? That Stone man done made him real mad when he beat down his team at that Grider man's field earlier in the season. You think I'm joking but I'm not. That pegleg man needs to take your computer.

  30. Without reading any of the stuff from the last several days, I hope the Tssaa takes a closer look at bands playing or artificial noise from the crowd while teams are running plays.I don’t have a problem with fans getting loud and a natural home field advantage like at Neyland, but last Friday night was classless and I’m certainly not a classy snob by any means. Funny thing is the Georgia pep band played the same junk before a snap but quit before UT ran a play. Yes , I’ve seen it many times at high school games , but the tssaa needs to go the way of the NCAA rules on this.

  32. Understandable. Don't let Friday's results keep you from this platform. The CoachT website needs good posters.

  33. Just goes to show that teams are different week to week, York has been more consistent but you still never knows when the wheels can fly off for any team. Looks like a good matchup to me. Sounds like ER is pretty much about Running Groves, if York can't stop him, game over, if they can, York may wear um out.

  37. Congrats to both teams for still being able to compete this late in the playoffs. It would seem as if Dresden has the best team that they have had in a while. Both teams are still playing in November for a reason. McKenzie is much improved (as I’m sure the lions are) since the last meeting. Should be an awesome night in which I hope sportsmanship prevails, for players, fans, and coaches alike, no matter what the scoreboard displays. My belief is that the Rebels will eliminate some of their mistakes and play more disciplined than in previous weeks. If they do- it’ll be one heck of a game! Go Big Red!

  40. Who knows what Keith will do. Maybe he gets a bigger van. Maybe a large addition to his house. Possibly a even larger pipeline into ORHS. I think there were several guys from OR that ended up at Clinton this year.

  42. I still think White wins it..but Jamarion reminds me of Al Wilson. He plays with so much passion and intensity. He’s a guy when opposing teams look across they think this guy could actually hurt me. Special player.

  43. Brother Booger- what kind of tomfoolery happens goes on between McCallie & Baylor during the week leading to "the game"? Any traditions in this 100+ year rivalry? In the past, I have heard about painted pigs being delivered by one school to the other.
