Good solid list IMO. Will definitely be a shake up next week pending the outcome of the USJ and JCS game. That’s probably gonna be a good one. Very strange to see Haywood that far down the list. I still think they’ll get that thing going over in Brownsville.

Yes. That is probably the biggest game of the week in Rural West Tn. A few other games I have my eye on are Crockett (3-0) vs South Side (2-1), Milan (3-0) vs Camden (2-1) and Peabody (0-3) vs Adamsville (2-1). Overall not many big games this week.

It should be business as usual for the most part this week for sure. Could be a trap game or two out there though. The Peabody vs A-Ville looks to me to be for that fourth spot in the juggernaut region!  Peabody has played 3 good teams and should grow from it. I’m almost leaning adamsville in that one but feel like the Tide will be hangry for a win. Probably be a one score game one way or the other.

And obviously I like Dburg in the 2. Hopefully the voters do the right thing and bump Dburg to #2 in this week’s AP rankings.

I think until East Nashville take a loss they will keep them at #2. Weeks 6 and 7 they get FRA and Symrna. That will tell a lot about East Nashville.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
