I don’t care who is ranked where in December, but one thing for sure is Baylor will win D2 and it won’t be close. Cleveland will win AAA and it won’t be close. Everyone is wrestling for 2nd.

I think Upperman would make the state in east tenn and west tenn, and if they get the right breaks dont count them out in the juggerr -naut middle tenn region.

The better coached TEAM won last night. Anyone who objectively watched that game was not surprised with the foul count. A foul is a defensive mistake. Reaching, grabbing, etc. are fouls. Having the awareness to adjust starts with the coach. Cumberland has played that style of "bully ball" for a while. Help from the bench is not as strong this year. It's very clear that the underclassmen are not developing. It shows no class when the coach makes comments about the number of fouls being called on her team on the radio. Win of lose show some class!

Until Greenfield is put out of the tournament and their season ended they are the defending champs and deserve that respect.

East Nasty, your own AD coaches two other sports. Be careful what you wish for. All the title means in Metro is you have to beg people to sell tickets and concessions and you have to make trips to Sam's and the bank on your own time. Not exactly the "glory" position. The principal still has final say so on any hires. AD has no say. At private schools, the AD becomes all that plus a fund raiser, peace keeper and master schedule maker. At suburban schools, the challenge is to get all the coaches on the same page and try to secure funding also. Rural schools you basically have to make the most of whatever limited resources you have although the townfolk tend to have more loyalty to the "brand".

dabears, OW only knows crazy talk, so he wouldnt be allowed on the board if not. I was going to go back and prove he was wrong about Lundy at East Hamilton but he isnt worth my time and you know as you said he was ranked as high as 3rd when he was there! Kligensmith beaten by number 2 kid from Sycamore Bass a A/AA kid, while Lundy was beaten by Andrew Pace 1st ranked in D2 and defending state champ. Hmmm, not sure i see the Cleveland bias in that one especially since they havent wrestled, maybe Summit will be down at a tourney Cleveland is at and we get to see that matchup. As far as 170 and Mr. Brown, I dont see a Cleveland or Bradley wrestler ranked at 170. I see Mr Fowler there and Diehl, Quinn, cockman, Gabe Smith seems to be pretty good also and he has wrestled up to 195 and down to 170 multiple times with a bunch of 182 in between. Now the MW kid Simerly I just dont see it. So with that maybe Mr. Brown deserves a top 6 ranking, but we just havent seen all that many cross wrestle each other to really know. I do see that Brown moved up to wrestle 182 against Mt. Juliet to try and win their dual although it didnt work. That would have been a good time to prove who was the best between Quinn and Brown, but those things happen. For 182 I do see Austin winning that class for now unless we start seeing some movement with others and the weight class.

The added "AD money" is the only thing keeping some good coaches in position.

I think HS AD should be a coach or former coach. Too many times ADs have little to no coaching experience and simply have the title but make others do all the work.

Just a question, why do you think 2A is down this year? Clarkrang beat Macon County, Macon beat Stone Memorial by around 20, Stone beat Clarkrang by 20+ Macon County, South Greene, Grainger, Clarkrang, Meigs, Cumberland Co, Upperman, would be favored against most 3A teams. I just don’t think it’s down. I just think the top 7 or 8 teams could win on any giving night.

Parents and grandparents have been the downfall of many a coach/program. Coach Sanders knows what he’s doing and I promise you he has a plan. It’s a shame that people will sit in the stands and complain about the coach behind his back when they themselves have no clue what to do or how to do it.

Baylor was missing 4 kids (Pace @145 #1 seed and Duffy @ 182 #1, Bond @ 106 #2 seed and Chambers-not sure what he was seeded prior to pulling out). I don't believe Baylor should drop with those kids out sick for one week. With those 4 kids they would have easily scored 70 to 90 points at the tournament. I do agree that Christian Brothers has a strong team and it will all need to be proven at the state duals and individual state. Just not sure I would drop Baylor with that fire power sitting out 1 week.

Dicuussing is always great for the sport! Even helps me dislike Cleveland more and more every year lol. Just O does not know when to give it a rest about this so called legacy junk. It's nothing legacy about it. It's just this region, 1 team or even 2 or once in a blue moon, all 3 teams are just very dominate. Jealousy only leads so far. Knock them off for several years! Then talk about what is the real reason we're always ranked and whatnot. I mean unless the prives invade div 1 and the TSSAA makes all schools combine, this region isn't going away for a very long time.

Get your money together! I know it will take a long time to put up that kind of money with you being a middle school janitor and Wrassl'n coach want'abe!

I talked to our guy. He’s alive and well. He’s got a lot of stuff going on and is planning on getting it back up and running.

Why don’t you do some research on Bernard Childress? He is the executive director of the TSSAA. Seems like all of his decisions are based on the guidelines. Obviously he’s not the be all say all but you might get some truth too.

Don't bring race into a stupid thing like rolling shorts. It has everything to do with uniformity. This is another example of how AAU is negatively affecting high school sports.
