  3. He for sure deserves to be on here somewhere, I just don’t know if he should’ve got it at receiver. I feel like Mickens really deserves to be on this list.

  4. And that's no body in Single A, Double A, Triple A, Division II-A... Greenfield and Ensworth would be a good game.

  5. Like I said before the season, 15-AA is gonna be a WAR. Covington and Fayette-Ware are the top 2, BUT Bolivar isn't gonna go quietly. And Haywood at 3-11, took apart 9-4 Ripley by 25. Fayette-Ware is at Haywood Friday Covington is at Bolivar. Should tell us more about this district.

  6. In watching Alcoa closely the last couple of years. It appears the QB is the more significant running back in the offense. The QB counter for sure is coming in critical times.

  7. Call it what you will but “it” happened! More than once. He said, he said? Sure. Still doesn’t change the fact that it occurred. Deep down you know it did.

  9. Christian Brothers finished 4th and Father Ryan finished 9th. Top performers: CB: Dayne Dalrymple (126, 3-2) placed 4th; Aidan Bowers (138, 3-2) placed 4th; Garrett Bowers (145, 3-1) placed 2nd; Theo Sewell (182, 3-2) placed 4th; Connor Billingsley (195, 5-1) placed 3rd; Al Wooten (220, 4-1) placed 2nd. FR: Sean Pitts (138, 3-3) placed 6th; Lawrence Madson (152, 3-2) placed 4th; JaCorey Miller (160, 4-1) placed 3rd; Parker Peterson (195, 4-0) placed 1st. Very tough tournament, Indiana schools placed 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. Kentucky placed 2nd and 10th. My guess is Indiana will have 3-4 State Champs and 14-16 additional medal winners (Top 8 in State) that wrestled in this event.

  10. Its a team game. Alcoa doesn't run up individual stats on teams, especially teams they are beating 49-0 at half. Sankey only played about 2.5 quarters in 12 games. Ask the teams that played against Alcoa what #15 did do them when he touched the ball either running or catching it. If I'm not mistaken ,Alcoa had 5 or more guys score TDs in ten different games. Coach Rankin called off the dogs early in those games. He could have just kept feeding Sankey and running up the score but he didn't. Loudon had 3 All State players on Offense and PC had 2. Sankey out scored them all in the semi and State championship games when Alcoa played those teams. How is that for a stat? If one player outscores two teams with a total of 5 All State offensive players in the semis and state championship game he has a good case for making the All State team as well. As a side note, the TSWA named their ALL State team. Tollett and Cox were added to the five that TNFCA named for Alcoa. Giving the Tornadoes a total of 7 on the team. Sankey was not on the TSWA All state team either, however they only named 28 as opposed to the 39 named for the TNFCA.

  11. Been over a month and I have heard of several coaches turning down the job. Why? What is going on in Martin. Not saying this is a premier job, but it is very strange that a coach leaves after one season and they appear to be having so much trouble finding someone they can be happy with that will actually take it.

  12. I think that's who CKS wanted to follow him. He was just announced. The rumor mill (for D-2) was crazy on this one. I heard Clowney to Clinton and Rosser to C-N.

  16. Well l know some coaches from Webb and they say no one from the Webb administration, coaching staff, teaching staff, students, boosters, cafeteria staff, custodial staff, book store, Middle School, grounds crew, or IT staff did not and would not inquire to anyone about being the Head Football coach at Webb School of Knoxville. Maybe someone working in the concession stand said " l wonder who will be the next HC at Webb". Someone hanging on the fence at the South end of Faust Field/Coach Dave Meske Stadium hears them and "says what about the Central Coach".Guy next to him says "we ought to get his PH#". Well the only other thing it could be is someone at Webb School of Bell Buckle thought the Central Coach could be a fit. Maybe he could help them transition from 8 man to 11 man football. Remember there are facts, and then there are Coach T facts.

  19. I have no dog in this race, but I do have an opinion... if you are as totally dominant on both sides of the ball as is Alcoa, nobody has the right to knock one of their fans for sticking up for the kids on the team. He could have said they all deserved to be selected and who could have made an argument with substance to "prove" otherwise? He also could have called out kids from other teams in comparison to the Alcoa kids, but chose not to. I'm not saying that even one Alcoa player deserved to bump someone from the team, but there's not much room to criticize someone for stating his opinion with the amount of stats there to back him up.

  22. ......................... We should just rename the entire state of Tennessee to Alcoa, just to see what there is to complain about next..... take your 100 state championships and your FOUR All-State selections and be happy.I guarantee any of those kids who aren't from Alcoa would gladly trade an All-State selection for some championship rings.

  26. Snapdown, I saw the kid at a camp about a year and a half ago or 2 yrs ago. He was with Coach Nichol at McCracken Co and moved with him to Paducah Tilghman. The kid is an ANIMAL for his age. He will be able to pick where he wants to wrestle. Remember his name. He is a SPECIAL TALENT!!!

  29. also everyone that questions why Sally not getting offers like Betty is. Set shooting Sally hits 5 ,3 pointers a game , but Betty is long athletic moves good more upside gettin up and down court more favorable to a shot clock and these coaches that recruit and thier career lively hood depends on it , and local people get butt hurt cause set shootin Sally not gettin no looks. Shot clock eliminates or distances" the one trick ponies." My 2 cents.
