After seeing cornersville style up close and personal two years in a row, I gotta say their recipe works. Getting hit in the face tends to slow some folks down. Cornersville finding their stride makes me excited for the playoffs. Even if it does mean we'll be making the trip all the way over there in November.

I hear ya. I don’t think you are pointing fingers, but that area has changed drastically since I was in high school. I remember them fielding good football and basketball teams...putting kids in the SEC. I don’t doubt the number of languages spoken either as I bet that English is a second language for 70% of the school. And you are right, if you can play, catch the bus for free and go to East Nashville.

Only 1 week before Maryville will, only because you won't be seeing any team worth 2 cents until Semis when you catch a Middle team. MJ will see big bad Oakland at some point in the postseason, then Maryville will be soon to follow. Last I remember, Maryviile got blanked, plain embarrased 38-0 in 2018. Couldn't even score a point in their most important game. MJ atleast made them Pats sweat till the final whistle, lost 14-7 and had to be stopped on a 4th down. Must be nice to sleepwalk to the semis every year! So tone down that cockiness just a notch, until you are the best team in Tennessee again. Cause as of now, you simply put, are not.

She is the best grafter ever....I got about 26 of those sitting in Kentucky at The Hall of Justice I am going to stick in the ground. She is very sharp. You let me know if you ever want to go to Quail Hollow Gardens. Coach has a little fun with these guys from The North....He is funny.

The culture should change from the day a new coach is hired. That doesn't mean the team will win every game, but every player should know the standards and expectations of the new coach. I think with 6 games into the season that most of the mental mistakes and turnovers from the previous season would have been eliminated. I just don't see the improvement there.

That's definitely the toughest two games on any 2A schedule.

Yes they will. Alot of the East scheduled better, harder teams anyway this year. The Upperman and Watertown game will be a dandy

Not sure if you've kept up with Greenback, but they would be top 4 or 5 in 2A if they were there as well if not higher. Oneida also has a tough schedule. Meigs, Greenback, Upperman... Meigs is a region game for them but they are playing top 5 teams in 1, 2, 3A. They will be tested when we play them and definitely come playoff time.

Please don't dub all of us mustangs posters as classless as some of my other friends on here. Fact is.. we all almost agree with everything you say. We agree, scheduling sucks, play calling has cost us some championships for sure, but we are loyal fans. Just some of us aren't as bright as the others! I for one apologize on the behalf of anyone that may have intentionally or non-intentionally offended you. I can assure you we respect Lake county and their program and I can assure you we are looking forward to playing you and most of us are already nervous about the game against yal on black Friday if we both can make it. I hope that if and went that happens all of you falcons are able to come to the stadium early and join us for some tailgates and Cornhole competition and the join me as I pray for both teams to play up to every bit of their potential and for their safety! Maybe not win ... but wit consistency and to execute more often than not , I think you have got to have talent. Coaching can cover up a lot of things and get some wins you shouldn't get, but you still gotta have good talent, and more over a desire to win . Pride... that's what is missing. I had a discussion with a local strength and conditioning coach about what is missing at some of our High schools. He nailed it when he said HUNGER... So may kids just show up to play but very few of them show up hungry to win. Kids wanted it, played hard . practiced hard, worked on their own... We are seeing a generation of everybody gets a trophy and a caprisun player. The separation of those players going to the next level is really showing up in games .

This Powell team is similar to the 2011 Powell team that made it to Cookeville in that regard. That 2011 team was talented enough to be able to overcome it. Hopefully this team is able to deal with those penalties, too. Like I said, you just hope it doesn't come back to bite at the worst time.

If everyone that was supposed to attend Baylor showed up and they are able to separate into different weight classes they are the best and it should not be close at the end of the season. This week should be redemption game. 44 is back this week as well as a few others. Not saying we win at gb at all but I would think our defense would be better with 44 and 32 back on the field. The replacements did well but it was definitely a trial by fire against gb. This week should be a better week for the bobcat.

It doesn't take a school or coach to "turn in" a school. If you have knowledge of recruiting then by all means call the TSSAA office in Hermitage. Otherwise, your whining is getting really old.

Well to one point I can understand him playing kids to get used to all four quarters, but on the other hand it gets to the point where it looks like he is just running up the score. Yeah, Elizabethton is one of the best programs in the area, won't deny it. Just keeping your starters in will result in one of two things. 1. What goes around comes around. 2. One of those starters gets hurt when he's up by 42 so now he looks like an idiot. Get your 35-42, after that call off the dogs. If young kids are in there and still throwing up numbers, well that's not on him.

I dont hate to say I told you so @vandyfan1 your Waverly Central Tigers are who I said they where hard nose physical team that would take time to gel but when they came together watch out !!!!! I seen alot of hard hitting linemen last year that was very young and I am old and old school defense wins championships and trench warfare is key !!! Imo throw out Wavos first 2 games, chalk em up to growing pains so to speak !!! The Tigers are now in my top 10 and a team to watch !!! This game I will go Waverly 42 Mcewen 14

#8 is still sore of course but will be ready to go come Friday night! The QB is fine he will play Friday as well. Just havent heard about #5 Jayln Foster. The timetable was that he was supposed to come back week 3. We will see but if he does Dyer County can forget about it.

If u knew football u wouldnt have made such a foolish statement! We are starting a freshman QB from Martin because he has more overall talent. Right now 2nd string at Martin doesnt mean you are a bad QB! They do have a big time QB that is getting looks from all the top colleges after all! So dont throw disrespect our way over that! I don't overlook anyone that is on our schedule! But it is hard to find respect in a team that cant stay within 33 points of us!
