  1. Right !!! Its fun to have the back n forth and to be honest its really amazes me the rivalry that has formed with a couple small town squads over a couple years , if you cant appreciate the passion you have no pulse for team sport

  2. Can't help but get excited the closer and closer we get to this game tomorrow night. Cornersville fans, be careful driving this way, dress warm and GOOD LUCK. Win or lose tomorrow, know that even though we pick on each other here on the T, it is all in good fun. We RESPECT the heck out of your program and we know that tomorrow, we will get your best ball game of the year out of your team! See ya'll tomorrow and GO MUSTANGS!

  4. I want nothing more than a Bulldog win Friday night but I'm not much of a trash talker and I tend to be more of a realist. If Cornersville can stay within 2 scores of Huntingdon this year I'd be happy. Nobody outside of Milan has done that this year. Huntingdon is loaded with senior talent just as we were last year. Cornersville will have their time in the next few years and like I said earlier, if those boys stay together it will be something special in the coming years. Much respect to the Stangs. I missed the game in 17 because my son was playing in the quarters for Marshall County. The game last year was the best high school game I have ever watched. I would still say that even if Cornersville would have lost. It was just all around good football. Go Bulldogs!

  5. I’m going with the better coaching staff in this one. 17-14 (Cornersville of course)

  6. What I like about Trenton most is our diversity. We all get along and we don't stereotype. It does not matter. Some folk take that to heart. They believe diversity is an advantage on the football field. They blast teams that have diversity. When they are beaten by us, it is because of our diversity. Well if it takes diversity to win, we will win with it. Do you get the picture? Bear Bryant knew a little about recruiting diverse kids. He started something that will last forever. We are all created equal, so get over it...……………...

  12. My predictions are based off , I don’t like you guys. I knew my prediction last week wasn’t gonna be accurate or probably not gonna be this week either but I’m rooting for whoever y’all are playing.

  13. I’m just going by games I’ve watched. MP. Cornersville and Bruceton. Mcewen’s defensive line will get pressure and make Huntland have to make fast decisions.

  14. Peabody will be favored in every remaining game this year. Saying that, there will be teams that are even bigger favorites that lose at every level, every week in the high school, college, and professional levels. At this point the Peabody invincible hype is based on how they ended the 2018 season and the players they had returning. The skill guys all returned and are a year bigger and faster. However, the line did not. They lost some good lineman that made the skill guys look great last year. What's the most impressive performance of the 2019 season? Beating a 6-5 Milan? How many 2A teams would be 11-0 with the same schedule? At this point the invincibility is not based on what they have done this year but on what many believe they can do.

  15. Here's the thing that people forget about high school sports. The Powell kids aren't cheating. If anyone is cheating it's adults. So the Powell kids will "be able to look in the mirror the next morning" too. Hold off on your righteous indignation...

  16. I am not sure many of the frog bottom coach t poster are giving much of a chance to the bulldogs. Probably why it is so quiet, nobody wants to eat crow. I, on the other hand, am proud of these guys and what they have accomplished this season. That season opening loss to a terrible community team was hard to watch, but these guys have grown past that. The fire and intensity I saw last week against Collinwood spoke volumes to me. From warmups, to the end of the game was what I haven't seen much of this season. They need to bring the same fire and intensity this week. Players, coaches, managers, cheerleaders, fans, everybody. May post a prediction in the morning. Sorry for the long post.

  17. I believe it will be a lot closer than most people think. I look for it to be a defensive battle in the 1st Half with the Mustangs busting a couple of long ones in the 2nd half to widen the gap. As the previous Huntingdon poster mentioned earlier, you won’t find anything but RESPECT for frog bottom from Stang fans. It’s been 2 awesome battles in 2 years. Dawgs - 10 Stangs - 35

  24. For a great score prediction you get online, go to the General and save some time! Kidding. They won't score 21, but the other number is probably right, give or take for extra points and 2pt conversions.

  25. I think Oakland is a little better than us, but not by 40. Having a full strength malone will help us - didn't have him last game at full strength. Our defense played well that night...our offense and kicking game hurt us. If we can shore those areas up then it can be a competitive game and maybe we could make a play or two to pull the upset. I guess I am saying this...i know oakland is good, but I don't believe they are 40 points better than us and I think we have worked some things out since the last game - you at least won't see us put 5 wrs out their and let oakland abuse drew. OC change helped with that!

  26. Your source is wrong. May be time to get a new one. I’d know before anyone on this board. That is for sure. I’ve know the kid since 7th grade. Really dislike the starting of false rumors of kids.

  28. I agree. However, if Huntland plays the way they have the past 3 games, they will be o.k. If TC gets sloppy, Tyner could give them trouble especially at Tyner. I consider Oneida-Hampton up for grabs.

  29. WaCojaCo, I think we're all just having a little fun with him, not taking him seriously. I mean the guy is bragging about being from Duck Branch for goodness sakes. lol If he was a real DB fan, he would be more interested in discussing the potential DB v Maryville, rather than an IFL /interstate game vs Duck Branch. RR and the rest of the Maryville Mafia will probably cause the guy to have stroke if he keeps it up. hahaha

  31. According to a statistical website which atleast for Htown seems to be updated every week, Reed has 3 less carries on the season than Stewart, that's a far cry from 80% lol... You seem to fall into the same thing most other teams do when they play Huntland, so scared of Reed (Which i understand why) that they overlook the fullback.

  32. I like Upperman in this one. Red Bank has had a great year but I think the Bees finish it for them this week.

  33. Couldn't agree more. Cornersville doesn't have anything to lose. You don't ever want to pick a fight with somebody who has nothing to lose.

  38. Yes it is and deserving. But like the Greenback qb being left off, there are many others.Tubbs from LC has over 1500 yards rushing and over 25td's,better stats than the Huntland rb.And probably only played 3 complete games. And consider Snyder the qb ,from LC having over 1400 yards rushing, that's better overall than the 2 rb's from Huntland. So congrats to him for making it.Well deserved for all these players. But there were some that had better stats in less playing time as well.

  42. The way I see it if a kid transfers and is in compliance with the TSSAA more power to them. And I will say this. If I had a kid transfer and go through the trouble the TSSAA puts you through I would most definitely go to a championship program. No way would I sell a house and move to a school that wasn't an upgrade from where I was.

  47. I can't disagree with you regarding both McDaniel & Whitworth. I would say that Coffee to me has a great upside due to the fact he is a great athlete, has not wrestled very much on the national circuit and most of the great heavyweight athletes want to compete in football. To be blunt the competition at heavyweight in college is not as great as it is in the lower & middle weights which should allow Coffee the opportunity to go much deeper in the NCAA tournament. Other issues that will play into the equation is are these athletes able to stay healthy at the next level, where they elect to attend college (does the room have a winning tradition of producing AA's with multiple AA's as practice partners) and last but not least are they able to break into the lineup sooner rather than later in their career. Gaining match experience as a young wrestler is so valuable.

  48. In my first listing of my P4P based off placement at National tourneys, I had Kodiak listed as one of the kids with a major placement. Kodiak more so than a lot of the other kids since his instate matches will be so weak is going to have place at one of the top major national tournaments to get recognized as a top kid from TN and to get on the radar of the D1 coaches. Not to say that Kodiak isn’t amazing at all or one of the top kids in the state but there is no way to know since he is from TN and especially small school division so he is going to have to do something nationally to get on anyone’s radar. 1. TOC at the MS level and below is a solid tournament but at HS level it means nothing. 2. Placing at a regional is nice accomplishment but every kid in state that has a major national win plus a lot of other instate kids have placed at or won a regional. Some multiple times, heck my son has placed at both Southeast and Northeast regionals as a cadet and junior 7 times and made the finals twice. Not saying it’s not nice wins but Regionals just don’t do much to prove your national status or instate status. 3. Super32 records don’t matter since the brackets are so massive. The only thing that matters at Super32 is making it to day 2 like Noah did or placing like Coffey did. I am going to post the top tourneys that matter just for reference in another thread so not to change the subject here.
