If everyone could please keep us (Waverly) in your prayers we had so much flooding and so many lives lost. People have lost their houses and cars. Worst I have ever seen and most couldn’t even imagine. Please keep us in your prayers and thank you so much to the surrounding counties and our local heroes who gave and risked their lives to save people.3 points

Please remember to lift up those who lost family members, their homes and possessions this morning in Humphries, Dickson and Hickman counties. I just heard that one family lost two 7 month old twins......God bless these families in Jesus name....3 points

That’s why I don’t like you folks. The man simply stated that he thought Fayetteville could play with y’all and you got your feelings hurt!! Believe it or not.. you will eventually get beat and when it happens just know I’ll be smiling here in Watertown.2 points

What’s always blown my mind is the fact the Science Hill is one of the top 7 high schools in the state by enrollment. They SHOULD beat us. I mean they have. I’m not forgetting the totality of this rivalry. But it just doesn’t make sense. They should compete at a higher level. Oh well. I’ll take it. Moving on to Rhea County.2 points

The website you wanted to post has stolen information from dozens of websites like mine and published it as their own state web site. Took me two years to get them to stop but I doubt that they have. So, yes, I don't promote them.2 points

Thanks! My son is #50 on the D line. He was pretty bummed last night but there’s a lot of season to play. also, just wanted to say that the hospitality and friendliness from everyone we met from Beech was just awesome. Everyone was so kind and helpful. It’s always nice to play in a venue like that especially when you travel so far! Much appreciated!2 points

But they are a typical Matt Lowe team with no discipline, they make all kinds of just plain dumb mistakes. Late hits, unsportsmanlike hits out of bounds and running their mouths. Matt has to stop that, but can or will he?2 points

Your obviously a loser coming onto other peoples threads trolling. Im just giving my opinions on the game and the scrimmages. Isn't that what these measage boards are for?2 points

Seeing on the news and social media that there's bad flooding over that way. I'm seeing posts of people on the roof of their house waiting for help. People with boats are being asked to come to the area for help of the locals. I wish I still had my boat.1 point

You and crack corn agreeing! I'm definitely going to church tomorrow lol.1 point

Just look and you will see I’m certainly not liked… perhaps even hated by some. Lol That said, I think WH wins big. Maybe I wouldn’t be the most hated person in WH if someone would start the WH/Greenbrier thread.1 point

Yep. Perhaps some Central board types need to stop pointing fingers at other schools for being undisciplined on the field. Just saying.1 point

What's it matter what our side of the story is? We're not the ones who had coaches trying to run off the field to fight fans. Stop making excuses for this behavior it makes your whole community look like trash.1 point

I think it's crazy that we have a Quillen, Dabbs, and Gillespie on the roster...feels like 2001 all over again1 point

I watched Peabody Thursday night and they would be the favorite for a 2A title for sure. I couldn't say that Fayetteville would walk to a title in 2A though.1 point

Sorta has, but can't get the numbers out. Need more than 42 kids and 7 seniors to compete in 4a. And I am not sure Nick Saban could get all the politics out of Macon.1 point

Nope. This is one bad circumstance from being over but these kids are the best conditioned players in the area. The starting 11 are studs.1 point

The atmosphere at Volunteer was awesome last night. Somewhere I read that Volunteer had not seen a stadium that packed since the early 80s.1 point

Your right Roy. That is a bunch of mess. Your boys aren’t beat. They will play hard I guarantee. But let me ask you a question. What week do y’all play them Marion Co. boys? That will be a good one.1 point

That won't happen because WB has never fired a coach for losing. We have admins who openly excuse our lack of success by bringing up the fact that Maryville, Alcoa, and Greenback poach our players. They focus on that so much that they don't notice that our coaches fail to teach our players how to block and tackle and how to play with an edge. They also don't seem to notice that our play calling does not put our offense in a position to succeed. Like I said, nobody cares down there. It's perfectly acceptable to put that kind of team on the field at WB.1 point

I was fed up with Clinton when Kerr was their head coach. He really ran our program into the ground. Once kids get used to losing, they expect to lose all the time. Our new coaching staff has done an excellent job at changing the mindset of our players. It sounds like William Blount definitely needs a coaching change, and not hire just the first one that comes along. Look for someone with no ties to the program.....sometimes an outsider is just what the doctor ordered. I wish you guys the best of luck and honestly hope you can turn things around.1 point

Thanks Bp54. They used to like to keep it on the ground but, I guess they realize that being one dimensional can only get you so far. Sounds like they are going to be a force to deal with this year!1 point

This is just one game. Both teams still have plenty to work on to get better. No need for Clinton to make reservations in Chattanooga just yet and no need for William Blount to give up and throw in the towel. It's a long season and alot can happen. Good luck to William Blount next week against Karns!! Go over there and play the entire game like you did the 2nd half against Clinton and you should come out with a big win!!1 point

Well, I’m happy for you. You’re a tried and true fan that has stuck it out through a lot of pretty bad seasons, so if anybody deserves to see the Dragons do good again, it’s definitely you. I respect that, rivals or not.1 point

Deal with it, like bad seasons strike every team. HC has been good long enough. “Cause panic” lol lose the ego and deal with a potentially bad season… even though y’all still may be decent.1 point

Betsy showed up on the field and in the stands. Proud of those young men tonight. Getting that 31st straight is the icing on the cake.1 point

If I could quote everyone I would but forget yall haters. We knew what we had and the seniors on science Hill haven't beaten us. Either we are better than advertised or Science Hill is vastly overrated1 point

This game was not what I was expecting. SHHS had two huge runs and scored on the first. Twice due to huge 25 & 30 yd penalties, Toppers got inside the 10. Scored on one of those. Other than these scores, they were pretty much kept in check. Betsy has a lot of things to work on. Way too many penalties. Need more step up in the receiver position. Line play was pretty solid. Still have work that needs to be done. But a win is a win. Enjoy it to night. Tomorrow, back to work for next week. Good job Cyclones!1 point

Fun game. That Goodpasture QB is a gamer. Sloppy performance by USJ, and the schedule doesn't get any easier with Union City coming into town next week. We've got the size and speed, but you can't make unforced errors and beat good teams! Liked the call to go for two at the end and win or lose behind your O-line. They just came up a little short. Congrats to Goodpasture!1 point

Congratulations to Powell ! Mavs need to work on wrap up tackle. Something I not seen in past. And Congratulations to the Mavericks! Good game Mavs! You played your hearts out! Gotta Love there Heart!!1 point

Powell wins, 60-48. Sloppy game, but a win is a win, especially in week 1 against a very good AC team.1 point

Unreal. Whitehead jumps the 5 yard out route, and takes it back to the house. Powell leads 60-48.1 point

It is still wrong for a coach to make first contact to a kid for the sole purpose to play football. Open zone is not about sports, it is about academics, and if parents want their kid in a school for that reason that is fine. What metro has now is coaches that can't coach and need athletes to overcome their coaching.1 point
